An excellent experience for Roatan’s business community✨

We participated in “2026 Trends: Companies that transcend,” organized by Private Constributions Regime (RAP). The event provided valuable tools to strengthen our teams, connect different generations, and turn organizational culture into better customer experiences.

We also learned about the benefits and upcoming projects RAP Honduras is promoting to support small and medium-sized businesses and help them grow. 🤝🌴

This recognition reflects the creativity, dedication, and artisanal work developed in West End, transforming Honduran cacao into exceptional products. 🇭🇳

We celebrate this new achievement and thank them for choosing Roatan as the place to build a story that now proudly represents our island and Honduras.

💚🏝 What do visitors see when they experience our islands, and what lasting impression do they take home?

This question was at the heart of the Green Islands Workshop, an inspiring initiative led by ZOLITUR, where our President, Syntia Solomon, participated as a guest speaker.

Alongside representatives from the Municipality of Roatán, the tourism sector, NGOs, local communities, public and private organizations, we exchanged ideas, identified key challenges, and proposed immediate actions to improve areas of importance to our tourism destination.

The workshop marked only the beginning. We are now ready to turn ideas into actions and work together to keep our destination clean and green—for those who call it home and for everyone who visits us.
💚🏝 ¿Qué ven nuestros turistas cuando nos visitan y qué recuerdo se llevan de nuestras islas?

Esta reflexión guio el Taller Islas Verdes, una enriquecedora jornada liderada por ZOLITUR en la que nuestra presidenta, Syntia Solomon, participó como disertadora.

Junto a representantes de la Municipalidad de Roatán, el sector turístico, ONG, comunidades y organizaciones públicas y privadas, intercambiamos conocimientos, identificamos desafíos y propusimos acciones inmediatas para mejorar zonas de importancia turística.

El taller fue solo el comienzo. Ahora pasaremos de las propuestas a la acción para conservar un destino limpio y verde, para nosotros y para cada persona que nos visita.

🏝 🤝 A more organized destination is built through collaboration among all stakeholders.

Together with the Municipality of Roatan, tour operators, and independent tour guides, we took part in a coordination meeting focused on improving operations near the Cruise Port of Roatan, enhancing the visitor experience, and sharing information on the requirements for obtaining and renewing operating permits.
🏝 🤝 Un destino más organizado se construye con el trabajo conjunto de todos sus actores.

Junto a la Municipalidad de Roatán, tour operadores y guías turísticos independientes, participamos en una jornada de coordinación para fortalecer las operaciones frente al Puerto de Cruceros, mejorar la experiencia del visitante y socializar los requisitos para la obtención y renovación de permisos de operación.

🏡👥 After 13 years, the Bay Islands are preparing for a new Population and Housing Census.

The Bay Islands Tourism Bureau participated in the introductory session for the 2026 Population and Housing Census, currently in its preparatory phase, alongside representatives from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), municipal governments, departmental authorities, and community leaders from Roatan.

After 13 years, and following the significant growth of the Bay Islands, this census will provide updated information to better understand the department's evolving needs and support more effective planning for its future development.

The information collected today will help guide the decisions that will shape the future of the Bay Islands for years to come. 🏗️📈
🏡👥 Después de 13 años, Islas de la Bahía se prepara para un nuevo Censo de Población y Vivienda

La Cámara de Turismo de Islas de la Bahía participó en la socialización del Censo de Población y Vivienda 2026, actualmente en su fase preparatoria, junto a representantes del Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), las municipalidades, autoridades departamentales y los patronatos de Roatán.

Después de 13 años, y tras el importante crecimiento que ha experimentado Islas de la Bahía, este censo permitirá contar con información actualizada para comprender las nuevas necesidades del departamento y planificar su desarrollo de manera más eficiente.

Los datos que se recopilen hoy ayudarán a tomar las decisiones que definirán el futuro de las Islas de la Bahía en los próximos años. 🏗️📈

Together, we build a stronger tourism destination 🏝💪🏻

The President of the Bay Islands Tourism Bureau, Syntia Solomon, met with Commissioner Lisandro Muñoz, head of UDEP #11, to coordinate efforts aimed at strengthening tourism security and advancing initiatives that support the sustainable development of tourism in Roatan.

During the meeting, both institutions agreed to implement training programs for the Touristic Police to enhance visitor assistance and emergency response, while also promoting initiatives to organize, regulate, and certify tourism service providers.

Quality tourism is built through preparation, coordination, and teamwork.

La presidenta de la Cámara de Turismo de Islas de la Bahía, Syntia Solomon, sostuvo una reunión con el comisario Lisandro Muñoz, jefe de la UDEP #11, para coordinar esfuerzos orientados a fortalecer la seguridad turística y promover iniciativas que contribuyan al desarrollo del turismo en Roatán.

Durante el encuentro se acordaron capacitaciones para la Policía Turística, enfocadas en mejorar la atención al visitante y la capacidad de respuesta, así como iniciativas para promover la organización, regulación y certificación de los prestadores de servicios turísticos.

Un turismo de calidad se construye con preparación, coordinación y trabajo en equipo.
