Last weekend we were lucky enough to enjoy some of the amazing views this island has to offer. Although we may live in paradise, some of the locals do not have the means to partake in most of the touristic activities. It was a day full of pure joy and happiness.
We want to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to H2O Honduras for providing transportation and to Canopy South Shore, Zip-Line Adventure! Roatan for hosting us! Their staff was incredible and took great care the little ones. Thank You, Thank you, Thank you! Jason Warren Kerlyn Armijo

We are currently looking for a new location to hold our English and Sewing classes in Gravels Bay, Flowers Bay, and Coxen Hole. We plan to begin classes again starting in September! Stay tuned for our next big move.

We are so excited to have one of our amazing students back in the classroom! Gorety has made a full recovery and back and excited to learn. She even brought us some beautiful flowers to brighten up the classroom. Gorety we love you, welcome back!!

Yesterday we had our amazing volunteer ,Savier, go over Exam #3 with the kids. The exam covered the verb "To Be" in the Past, Present, and Future forms, along with sight word identification, and reviewing things they learned in the past such as: days of the week, time, and colors.

Learning with Leap! These reusable alphabet boards are so useful. The kids love using different color dry erase markers. This a great way to practice letter identification, colors, and capitalization! Here we have Luz (11), Eyline (6), and Carmen (6) learning their ABC's!

Most importantly you are providing a clean safe place where this child can grow and learn. For many of these children The Rise Up Roatan Center is the only place where they can find peace. This past weekend we celebrated our amazing Founder/Program Director Tracy Katrina Ebanks. Without her, City Embrace Resource Center and Rise Up Roatan would not be what it is today. Congrats on your next adventure of fulfilling your dream of earning an MBA. We know your physical absence here in Roatan is only temporary. Over the next year you will gain the knowledge and skills to take Rise Up Roatan and City Embrace to the next level. We love you Tracy (Kat) and can't wait for your next visit this summer!
