🏗️ PROJECT UPDATE: We’re getting close! 🙌

Windows 🪟, electrical wiring ⚡, lamps 💡, plaster, and flooring—our new church is quickly taking shape!

📅 And we have a date: October 17!
God willing, we’ll inaugurate and dedicate the basement as our temporary sanctuary while construction continues on the main nave above.

It’s a humble beginning with a BIG vision. ❤️ When completed, this will be much more than a church: space for 250 worshipers, 5 children’s classrooms, a fellowship hall, kitchen, and multipurpose areas for medical brigades and community outreach.🩺🤝

Not just a church building—but a place to serve and bless our community. 🙏🌱 #

🌄 At the edge of the village, on the road that winds toward the mountains, among the last little houses somewhere between somewhere and nowhere, we met a young family of five.

They were among the first to join our little church—and among them was a boy named Josías.

With a love for motorcycles 🏍️, guitars 🎸, nature, and most importantly, God, Josías grew up, gave his life to Jesus, and was baptized.

And today, that little boy is beginning a whole new chapter.

We are thrilled to congratulate JOSÍAS DANIEL RAMOS BARAHONA on his acceptance to Harbert Hills Academy, our partner school in Savannah, Tennessee, USA! 🇭🇳 🇺🇸

We pray this new adventure will help him grow mentally, physically, and above all, spiritually. 🙏

From a little village road in Honduras to a new opportunity in Tennessee…

🌄 En las afueras de la aldea, por el camino que serpentea hacia las montañas, entre las últimas casitas, en algún lugar entre aquí y ninguna parte, conocimos a una joven familia de cinco.

Fueron de los primeros en unirse a nuestra pequeña iglesia, y entre ellos estaba un niño llamado Josías.

Con su amor por las motocicletas 🏍️, las guitarras 🎸 y la naturaleza, Josías fue creciendo y, aún siendo joven, decidió entregar su vida a Jesús y ser bautizado.

Y hoy, aquel niño comienza un capítulo completamente nuevo.

Nos llena de alegría felicitar a JOSÍAS DANIEL RAMOS BARAHONA por haber sido aceptado en Harbert Hills Academy, nuestra escuela hermana en Savannah, Tennessee, Estados Unidos. 🇭🇳 🇺🇸

Oramos para que esta nueva aventura le permita crecer mentalmente, físicamente y, sobre todo, espiritualmente. 🙏

De un pequeño camino entre las montañas de Honduras a una nueva oportunidad en Tennessee…

In the wake of the collapse of the mighty Spanish Empire—an empire so vast it was said that the sun never set upon it—the map of the Americas was redrawn, and new nations emerged. 🌎

And from that extraordinary chapter of history came a culture overflowing with diversity, warmth, faith, resilience, color, and beauty. ❤️

Today, those qualities are our inheritance—but also our responsibility.

We are the stewards of what generations before us built. May we use the richness of our culture, the warmth of our people, the beauty of our land, and the fervor of our faith to honor and exalt the God who, in His providence, allowed our nation to come into existence. 🙏🏼✨

😂 Our Lifestyle Center is FULL again! 🙌💚

This session we’re welcoming 18 guests. 🎉 And 15 of them are an amazing group of retired women who decided retirement was the perfect time for a little RESET! 🔄🌱💪

We want every guest to leave rested 😌, reinvigorated ⚡, inspired 💡, and equipped 💪 to continue building healthier habits long after their stay with us.

And judging by these smiles… 😁📸 the reset is going pretty well! 😂💚🌿

🌟 Celebrando el regalo de la niñez | Día del Niño en Campos Blancos School # 🌟

El Día del Niño en Campos Blancos School es una ocasión muy especial. Es un momento para celebrar la alegría, la inocencia y el enorme potencial que Dios ha depositado en cada niño.

Desde la perspectiva bíblica, los niños no son simplemente el futuro: son una bendición presente, un regalo de Dios y un tesoro confiado a nuestro cuidado. La Escritura nos recuerda: “Herencia de Jehová son los hijos” (Salmo 127:3).

Jesús mismo les dio un lugar especial. Los recibió, los bendijo y enseñó que el reino de los cielos pertenece a quienes son como ellos. Por eso, educar a un niño es mucho más que transmitir conocimientos; es el privilegio y la responsabilidad de formar su carácter, cultivar su fe y ayudarle a descubrir el propósito para el cual Dios lo creó.

En CBS agradecemos a Dios por cada niño que ha puesto bajo nuestro cuidado. Hoy celebramos sus sonrisas, sus sueños, su curiosidad y, sobre todo, la hermosa bendición de ser niño. 💛

🚧⛪ Church Construction Update 🇭🇳

Another important milestone is underway in the construction of the Adventist Church in El Suyatal! 🙌

We’re now in the final stages of completing the two basement rooms that will serve as our temporary church space. The flooring is going in today 🧱✨, and the transformation is remarkable!

Next up: ⚡ electrical work, 🪟 windows, and 🚪 doors—bringing us another step closer to having this space ready for worship and ministry. 🙏⛪

💍✨ Did you know VIDA has hosted more than a dozen weddings over the years?

There’s something about a wedding that makes the world stand still—and gives us a little glimpse of heaven. Maybe that’s why the Bible is filled with wedding imagery. ❤️

Today, it stood still for Ronmel & Daryela. Surrounded by 300+ guests, they made a covenant of love—and soon, they’ll make another as they give their lives to Christ through baptism. 🌊✝️

First “I do.” Soon, “I belong to Jesus.” ❤️‍🔥

Now that’s a love story worth celebrating! 🎉💍

Meet Nelmis Hill, an IBC student back in 2015 who has since become a pillar in her church—a woman whose life tells a powerful story of faith, endurance, and trust in God. 🙌

Her beautiful daughter, Heily, was born with myelomeningocele. Then, a few years ago, another frightening chapter began: Heily developed severe kidney problems.

But Nelmis prayed. She believed. She clung to God when circumstances gave her every reason to be afraid.

And then came what she can only describe as a MIRACLE. ❤️‍🔥🙏

Heily’s kidney made a FULL recovery. Completely healed. 🙌😭

Today, Nelmis gives God the glory for an answer to prayer that changed their story.

And Heily? She doesn’t even have to tell you she’s a miracle.

She lives like one. ☀️💛

With her buoyant personality and contagious joy, she seems to harvest smiles from everyone around her. 😊🌻

Then today she stood before the church and sang:

🎶 “Jesus loves me, this I know…” 🎶

And that was enough. 🥹❤️

The whole church was caught somewhere between tears and the biggest smiles

✨ Testimony Night is always one of the highlights of our week at VIDA! 🙌

But this week, one comment stopped us in our tracks.

After sharing how grateful she was for her experience, one of our lifestyle guests simply said:

❤️ “I wish I could live in this place.”

Wow. 🥹

Sometimes, as missionaries, we get so accustomed to the extraordinary that it starts feeling ordinary. We fall into routines, get tired, and occasionally find ourselves looking over the fence at what we imagine are greener pastures. 🌱👀

Then someone comes along and reminds us:

“You’re already standing in one.” 🌿✨

Her testimony reminded us just how privileged we are to call this place home—and how blessed we are to spend our lives blessing others.

Grateful hearts. Renewed purpose. And ready for the next group! 💚🙏
