💍✨ Did you know VIDA has hosted more than a dozen weddings over the years?

There’s something about a wedding that makes the world stand still—and gives us a little glimpse of heaven. Maybe that’s why the Bible is filled with wedding imagery. ❤️

Today, it stood still for Ronmel & Daryela. Surrounded by 300+ guests, they made a covenant of love—and soon, they’ll make another as they give their lives to Christ through baptism. 🌊✝️

First “I do.” Soon, “I belong to Jesus.” ❤️‍🔥

Now that’s a love story worth celebrating! 🎉💍

Meet Nelmis Hill, an IBC student back in 2015 who has since become a pillar in her church—a woman whose life tells a powerful story of faith, endurance, and trust in God. 🙌

Her beautiful daughter, Heily, was born with myelomeningocele. Then, a few years ago, another frightening chapter began: Heily developed severe kidney problems.

But Nelmis prayed. She believed. She clung to God when circumstances gave her every reason to be afraid.

And then came what she can only describe as a MIRACLE. ❤️‍🔥🙏

Heily’s kidney made a FULL recovery. Completely healed. 🙌😭

Today, Nelmis gives God the glory for an answer to prayer that changed their story.

And Heily? She doesn’t even have to tell you she’s a miracle.

She lives like one. ☀️💛

With her buoyant personality and contagious joy, she seems to harvest smiles from everyone around her. 😊🌻

Then today she stood before the church and sang:

🎶 “Jesus loves me, this I know…” 🎶

And that was enough. 🥹❤️

The whole church was caught somewhere between tears and the biggest smiles

✨ Testimony Night is always one of the highlights of our week at VIDA! 🙌

But this week, one comment stopped us in our tracks.

After sharing how grateful she was for her experience, one of our lifestyle guests simply said:

❤️ “I wish I could live in this place.”

Wow. 🥹

Sometimes, as missionaries, we get so accustomed to the extraordinary that it starts feeling ordinary. We fall into routines, get tired, and occasionally find ourselves looking over the fence at what we imagine are greener pastures. 🌱👀

Then someone comes along and reminds us:

“You’re already standing in one.” 🌿✨

Her testimony reminded us just how privileged we are to call this place home—and how blessed we are to spend our lives blessing others.

Grateful hearts. Renewed purpose. And ready for the next group! 💚🙏

This week, we officially discovered a new problem at VIDA… we’re running out of rooms! 😅🏡

Our Lifestyle Center just hit a new milestone: 18 guests at once—our largest group ever! 🎉 Fifteen joined us from the beautiful island of Roatán for a week dedicated to rest, renewal, and healthier living. 🌴

They enjoyed therapeutic massages 💆🏾‍♀️, learned practical principles of healthful nutrition 🥗, slowed down, recharged, and experienced what a lifestyle retreat is really about: creating the conditions for the body, mind, and spirit to heal. ❤️‍🩹

And apparently, word is getting around… 👀

🚧✨ Something beautiful is taking shape at VIDA!

Our new entrance sign is almost ready—and it’s already looking GOOD! 🤩 Inspired by the Spanish Revival architecture of our campus, the next steps will bring the lettering, lighting, stone planters, flowers, and plenty of greenery. 🌿🌸

And yes… we have a feeling this is about to become the most photographed spot at VIDA. 📸😎

🔥 Retreat over. Mission ON. 🙌🌎

We barely unpacked from our VIDA Staff Retreat before jumping straight into an evangelistic campaign led by Pastor Otoniel Rodríguez, Youth Director of the Honduran Union. 📖❤️‍🔥

TONIGHT: 70 souls packed into the little home that has served as our temporary church! 🏠🔥

Our new church building is rising 🧱⛪, but tonight was a beautiful reminder: The Church isn’t the building. The Church is the people. ❤️

We’re not just praying to build a church in El Suyatal—we’re praying for God to transform El Suyatal. 🙏🌱

Casi sin tiempo para desempacar, regresamos directo a una campaña evangelística dirigida por el Pr. Otoniel Rodríguez, Director de Jóvenes de la Unión Hondureña. 📖❤️‍🔥

¿Primera noche? ¡70 almas apretaditas dentro de la pequeña casa que nos ha servido como templo temporal! 🏠🔥🙌

Nuestro nuevo templo sigue levantándose 🧱⛪, pero anoche recordamos algo importante:

La iglesia no son cuatro paredes. La iglesia somos nosotros. ❤️

No soñamos solamente con construir un templo en El Suyatal. Oramos por algo mucho más grande: que Dios transforme El Suyatal. 🙏🌱

70 almas. Un Evangelio. Una misión. ¡Y apenas comenzamos! 🔥🚀🇭🇳

Back to the grind! 💪🏗️🪨 And our VIDA entrance redesign is really starting to show! 😍🌿

Beautiful stone planters are going in, landscaping is taking shape, and a brand-new entrance sign will soon welcome everyone who comes through our gates. 🙌✨

We can’t wait to welcome you to a new and better VIDA! ❤️🌎

And come to think of it… that sounds a lot like what Jesus promises to do in us: out with the old, in with the new. 🙏✨
