School #28: ADEPRIR, Colinas 1, Choloma, Cortés 🇭🇳

This is where the transformation begins.
Rusted windows. Damaged spaces. Broken concrete. A school community forced to adapt to conditions that should never define a child’s education.

But this is only the before.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll take you behind the scenes as School #28 is transformed into a safer, stronger place where students can learn with dignity.

We finished building CEBG Bowen. So why are we still pouring concrete?

Because completing a school doesn’t always mean the work is over.
The next phase is underway: construction of the school’s perimeter wall.

♟️ Moving Dreams FEIH: Opening New Paths Through Chess

On August 29, FEIH launched its new chess program at CEB Virgilio Rodríguez in Choloma, Cortés, where 24 students from 4th–6th grade will receive training from BITIACHESS Chess School.

Through chess, students will strengthen:

♟️ Concentration
♟️ Discipline
♟️ Strategic thinking
♟️ Decision-making
♟️ Problem-solving

We are especially grateful to our generous donors, Laura and her son Ryan, whose support has been instrumental in making this program possible and giving these children a new opportunity to learn, grow, and discover their potential. 💙

Together, we are not only moving chess pieces, we are moving dreams forward. ♟️✨

This is what building a school together looks like. 🤲🏼🏫

Today at the Escuela ADEPRIR in Colinas 1, Choloma, Cortes, parents and members of the local community rolled up their sleeves and joined the construction team to help prepare the base for the new floors.

Every bucket of soil, every helping hand, every hour given brings this school one step closer to welcoming its students.

Because when a community comes together for education, they are not just building classrooms, they are building opportunity, hope, and a stronger future for their children. 🇭🇳✨

We are proud to witness this spirit of collaboration in action.

What happens to a child’s education when rain means there’s no classroom? 🌧️📚

In Colinas 1, Choloma, heavy rain can flood the current school, making it impossible for students to attend class.

School #28 is about changing that.

This intervention will create a safer, more reliable learning environment, one where the weather doesn’t decide whether children can learn.

Years after helping build Escuela Monterrey, Palos Blancos , FEIH continues listening to teachers, students, families, and school leadership to understand how their needs evolve.

Today, we’re helping build a new auditorium, a shaded space for school activities, celebrations, and community gatherings.

For us, lasting impact means staying connected and continuing to invest where it matters most.
