For years and years, we have dreamed of a place, a refuge, a home, a sanctuary, where abused and abandoned children would come to know love. But not just any kind of love, a love that only Jesus can provide. Throughout the years, we found a property, we worked our bare hands in 90 degree heat, we dreamed and prayed for a home that would one day serve many many children of Honduras.

After constructing plans, waiting patiently for funds, teams, support, supplies and the right people, we are finally in the midst of everything we have prayed for. We are not done, not nearly close, but everyday is one step closer.

We are building an 8,000 square foot orphanage. We found skilled craftsman. We have amazing architects. We have a dedicated construction manager. We have been immensely blessed and the Lord has placed the right people in our path in order for all of this to take place.

It’s been slow, years in the making, but the Lords timing is so perfect and throughout the years we have seen just that.

Here is where we are at. We are currently placing cross beams on the first floor. We have spent close to $100,000, just 1/4 of our estimated budget.

We will be taking a break, raising funds to continue construction (hopefully) soon!

Prayer request and immediate need.

We are so very grateful for all the support we have received year after year to Finding Hope, the Lord has been gracious and has provided for our needs.

However, we are coming forward with a different request.

Our family is growing and we have some financial burdens that need to be taken care of. With a two year old and a baby on the way, there are new needs arising that our current funding can not cover. As a family, we are needing an additional $2,000 monthly. This is to help cover medical, personal, travel, and other costs in ministry. Our family fully relies on ministry support, as we are in ministry full time and do not have an outside income.

Today’s the day! Give local 757 is doing a one day only fundraiser for nonprofits in the area and we are raising funds to continue the construction on the orphanage! Help us continue to build!

So far we have all walls up on the first floor and continuing to build day by day! But, we can’t do so without your help.

First brick laid on the children’s home today! A huge thank you to many faithful donors and M.E.B for your generous contribution allowing us to see walls finally go up!

School has started for the new year and once again we were able to distribute many backpacks thanks to our teams who brought them in all year long!

This is an enormous blessing for many families as backpacks are one of the more costly expenses with back to school.

Thank you on behalf of all the kids and youth who were blessed by you!

This year we were able to hand out over 100 backpacks. Here are just a few of the kids with their backpacks filled of school supplies, clothes and shoes donations!

A huge shout out to the most energetic group we have had here at Finding Hope! A team from Denver, Colorado was here a few weeks ago building a stable, feeding and milking station for the goats and sheep and digging for a new pond. They did VBS all week with the kids, hosted youth night events/Bible study and any free 5 minutes we’re playing soccer under pouring down rain. Thank you guys for your passion to serve our kids and youth, can’t wait to have you back again!
