The countdown is on. 🕊️ In just a few short months, our Solanus family will board that bus once again — headed back to Honduras to bring healing, hope, and love to the people who hold such a special place in our hearts.

Every trip changes us as much as it changes them. The smiles, the hands we hold, the lives we touch — this is why we do what we do.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Our June 2026 Honduras mission has officially come to a close, and honestly, our hearts are so full.

This week our team completed 107 surgeries. That number still blows us away …. 107 people and families who had been waiting, hoping, and now have a chance at healing. None of that happens without every single person who showed up: our surgeons, Nurse (CRNAs) Anesthesiologists and Physician Anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical techs, interpreters, volunteers, and the amazing staff at St. Benedict Joseph Medical Center who welcomed us and worked alongside us all week.

We closed out the trip with a dinner together, good food, good laughs, and even a birthday celebration for one of our surgeons. It was exactly the kind of moment you want to end a week like this on.

To everyone who prayed, gave, volunteered, or cheered us on from home, thank you. What you make possible goes so much further than one week on a calendar.

We’ll be back in September, and we can’t wait. Until then, God bless our Honduras family and everyone who had a hand in making this mission happen. ❤️🇭🙏

We are deeply grateful for these kind words and for the opportunity to serve alongside the incredible team at St. Benedict Joseph Medical Center - Franciscan Mission Outreach, Inc. This mission was only possible because of the partnership, hospitality, and dedication of the local staff, volunteers, donors, and every member of the Solanus Medical Mission team.

Together, we were blessed to help provide 107 life-changing surgeries while building relationships that extend far beyond a single week.

Thank you for trusting us with your patients and allowing us to be part of your community. We are already looking forward to serving together again. May God continue to bless everyone who made this mission possible. ❤️🙏

Another full day in the operating room is in the books. Our team continued providing surgical care to patients who have often waited months, and sometimes years, for the opportunity to receive treatment.

Today was also a reminder that service and personal sacrifice often go hand in hand. One of our team members, experienced the loss of a family member shortly before this mission began. Despite her grief, she chose to join us and care for patients during these first few days of the trip. This morning, she departed Honduras to return home and be with her family for the funeral tomorrow.

We are grateful for the compassion, commitment, and strength she demonstrated while serving others during such a difficult time. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the days ahead.

Thank you to every volunteer who continues to show up each day with a servant’s heart. The impact being made here extends far beyond the walls of the operating room.
