📅 5月28日 · 6:45 – 9:00 PM
📍 MakerBay 荃灣

Ever picked up a product and thought — wait, how did someone actually make this? 🤔

The storefront sign, the custom phone case, a piece of jewellery, a mechanical part — turns out, things like these can be made with 3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking tools, and more.⚙️

On May 28, MakerBay is opening its doors. Come see these machines in action — and find out what they can actually make. 🏭

Experienced entrepreneur Patrick Lam will share how to take an idea from prototype to real product 💡. You'll also get to meet a community of people working in EdTech, development, and design 💬.

These aren't tools you get to touch every day. May 28 — come have a look. 👀

Many people hesitate to try social innovation, often assuming it is “too difficult,” that there is “a lack of resources,” or that they “don’t know where to start.” ✨

At our annual event earlier this month, the project showcases by our social innovation teams, the “Try at Least One Hands-on Thing” workshop, and the Maker Team’s handcrafted souvenirs all aimed to show that as long as you are willing to roll up your sleeves and try, your ideas can gradually be turned into reality. 🛠️

Gratitude also goes to all our guest speakers and incubating social innovation teams; from cross-sector dialogues and a spirit of experimentation to turning ideals into practice, every word revealed the community’s desire and potential for change, injecting new energy into our social innovation journey—the creating will not stop, and neither will the doing. ⚡

Looking forward to the birth of every new universe of possibilities！
