What a way to end the Roots and Rhythms theme! 🪇 Last month at Diversity Hub, we brought the community together for a DJ + Board Games Night! 🎲🎶

From classic favourites we all grew up with (UNO, Ludo, Chinese Checkers) to DJ sets by Vansh, Saloni and MOTH co-founder Ahura, the energy was everything: cultural music with a touch of R&B, rap, and house. 🥁🕺💃

Huge thank you to MOTH for the collaboration with us to train ethnically diverse youths and support free DJ classes, helping them learn, grow, and find their sound.

This was one of the only DJ events to happen at Chungking Mansions. 🔥

We’ll be back with more of these! Stay tuned!

🏠”Our Home”—featuring the Wall of Belonging—is an evolving space shaped by the people who call Hong Kong home, and it is not complete without you!🏠

🪇 We invite you to contribute an item that reflects your own sense of belonging in this city by the 21st of August.

📝 It could be something deeply personal or something beautifully ordinary like a family heirloom, a photograph, a handwritten note, or an object from daily life.

👥 In a place where identities are layered and histories are constantly unfolding, belonging is not a single definition but something shared. Your contribution will become part of this living archive, launching in September 2026 under our new theme, Voices of the World, which highlights stories from across the globe.🖼️

(English Version in Comment)

So grateful to have Vansh Arora, our Project Executive of Diversity Hub HK, as a guest on Empower, Engage, Evolve: Ethnically Diverse Youths for our last episode. By Punam Limbu! Thank you so much 😊

Episode 13: The Diversity Celebrator: Building Inclusion, One Project at a Time

In this episode, Vansh opens up about his journey building connections within ethnically diverse communities not through grand gestures, but little by little, through consistent presence and genuine care. He shares how his work at Diversity Hub is nurturing a generation of young people equipped not just with skills, but with the strength and courage to lead with conviction.

Beyond that, he offers a powerful window into the history of Hong Kong's diasporic culture, reminding us that the contributions of ethnically diverse communities are not peripheral, but foundational to the city's identity.

Thank you, Vansh, for this incredible sharing. Truly grateful for your honesty and the heart you brought to this conversation.

So grateful to have you on this journey ❤️

What an unforgettable night celebrating Philippine Independence Day! 🇵🇭✨ We fully immersed ourselves in Kapwa—the beautiful spirit of togetherness and community 🫶🏻

Huge shoutouts to our incredible Voices of Tomorrow youth MCs, Mariel and Saahibah, for keeping the energy high! 🎤 We were also deeply moved by Edric’s breathtaking speech, speaking beautifully on behalf of Pinoy youth born in Hong Kong. 🌟

The energy was absolutely unmatched! We spent the evening:

🥭Diving hands-first into an epic Boodle Fight feast 🦐

🎞️Watching a powerful screening of "On the Record: An Instrumental Hong Kong Music Documentary" by journalist Jan Yumul 🎥

💃🏻Testing our rhythm with the Tinikling bamboo folk dance! 🪵

🪈Mini-exhibition of Traditional Phillipines instruments from Indigenous tribes and artefacts from the community 🇵🇭

A massive thank you to our partners at Filipino Hub for bringing everyone together, and to everyone who came out, shared a laugh, and made our community feel like family. Until the next gathering! 🤝✨

Dreams 2 Come. 🎤✨ The impact still lingers. 🧡

That night wasn't just an event.
It was a room full of young people standing in their truth – voices shaking, eyes bright, hearts wide open.

They didn't just give speeches.
They gave us hope. 🌈

And you – our community – showed up. You listened. You believed in them. 🙌

That's what makes this work real.
That's why we keep going. 💪

Keep supporting Voices of Tomorrow.
Because when youth speak, the world shifts. 🌍

StillStrong

Last Friday at Diversity Hub, we did something special.

We unveiled 15 new pillars — each one honouring a member of Hong Kong's ethnically diverse community. Each story. Each breakthrough. Each legacy.

There was food. There was laughter. There were reconnections. And beneath all of it — deep reflection on what social impact really looks like when communities lead the way.

Welcome to our growing family of pillars. Together, we sense, make sense, and act. 💜
