歷經連番新舊交替，西營盤過去人情緊密，可歷經連番新舊交替，今天隔籬鄰舍也不免帶點疏離。
回顧人生裡的每一張面孔，相識、相交、相知，原都是因著一點機緣，一點巧合，才會有當初相遇的一刻。時間與空間是一個地方的兩個維度。屋企樓下，樹蔭底，長櫈上，一個個設計得宜便利大眾的小地方，令人聚腳流連，都是併發相遇一刻的搖籃。
明愛莫張瑞勤社區中心與長春社文化古蹟資源中心聯手策劃「重塑西營盤─公共空間再生計劃」，獲市區更新文物保育及地區活化資助計劃第三期資助支持，2017年6月在常豐里開展重塑社區空間的工作，「一刻社區設計館」亦成為明愛於西營盤區的工作駐點，集中服務西營盤區居民。館內會定期舉辦不同形式的社區活動，如攝影展覽、各種活動小組和工作坊，促進居民參與，引發想像，凝聚共識，建設社區，再現街道生活，但求營造一個可以重覓人情的空間。
計劃原則
尊重常豐里深厚歷史文化，令這裡成為氣象清幽、老少咸宜、坊眾和
合，一家大小可安心遊樂的好地方。
Supported by the Urban Renewal Fund, Caritas Mok Cheung Sui Kun Community Centre and Conservancy Association Centre for Heritage (CACHe) jointly presented the “Envisioning Sai Ying Pun: Remaking Public Space Project”, with Prof. The Project aims at envisioning the local residents in the use of the spatial asset they own and encouraging their participation in the process of place re-making, in responding to the rapid urbanisation of this early-developed region. The project will incorporate the ideas of community members and make physical changes on Sheung Fung Lane, turning it into a place for stimulating vibrant street life and reweaving the social fabric. A community design studio named “Magic Lanes” is now opened in situ as the hub for the whole placemaking process. Project Principle
