In Hong Kong, refugee and asylum seeker families face significant challenges, including the inability to legally work or live in the city, which places a heavy burden on their daily survival and well-being. Children of these families are particularly vulnerable, as they strive to build a future in an environment of uncertainty and limited resources.
Education is a beacon of hope for these children, yet the cost of textbooks—a fundamental tool for learning—remains a barrier. Grassroots Future is dedicated to removing this obstacle by supporting textbook expenses for refugee and asylum seeker children. A donation of HKD1700 can make a profound difference, covering the average cost of textbooks for one child, enabling them to continue their education and pursue their dreams. We are aiming to raise at least HKD65,000 by the end of July to support 30+ families.
