Hong Kong Radiographers' Association (HKRA) was formed when two professional bodies of radiographers merged in 1990, namely the Association of Government Radiographers (AGR), founded in 1974, and the Hong Kong Diagnostic Radiographers Association (HKDRA), founded in 1980s from graduates of the Hong Kong Polytechnic Institute. HKRA is a union for radiographers (diagnostic and therapeutic) in Hong Kong registered under the Allied Health Professions Council Chapter 359.

The Hong Kong Radiographers’ Association (HKRA) is deeply honored to be invited by the Hong Kong Dental Association (HKDA) to join the 14th Hong Kong International Dental Expo and Symposium (HKIDEAS 2025), held from August 22–24 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year’s congress is especially meaningful as HKDA celebrates its 75th anniversary, marking decades of dedication to advancing dental care. HKRA is grateful for this recognition and looks forward to participating in the opening ceremony, gala dinner, and academic exchanges that foster collaboration across healthcare professions. The Hong Kong Radiographers’ Association (HKRA) was honored to serve as a Supporting Organisation for the AI and Innovation in Radiation Sciences and Beyond 3.0 Symposium, hosted by the School of Medical and Health Sciences (MHS) at Tung Wah College (TWC).

This engaging evening has featured expert-led talks on cutting‑edge medical imaging, radiomics, and AI applications in radiation sciences. The Hong Kong Radiographers’ Association (HKRA) is honored to be invited by the Department of Health Technology and Informatics (HTI) at PolyU as a Supporting Organisation for *MedTechX 2026*.

This year’s conference, themed “Belt and Road AI+ Healthcare Innovation”, gathered international experts to explore cutting‑edge medical technology, cross‑disciplinary innovation, and the integration of AI in healthcare.

Representing HKRA, our General Secretary Mr. Will Lee delivered a presentation on *AI in Pediatric Interventional Radiology*, showcasing the transformative role of artificial intelligence in advancing clinical practice.

HKRA also extends heartfelt congratulations to our member Mr. Mike Lai, recipient of the *HTI Outstanding Alumni Award*, in recognition of his remarkable achievements and contributions to the profession.

✨ The Hong Kong Radiographers’ Association proudly hosted RCEP II 2026 today, bringing members together for a day of learning and exchange. The morning DXA Reporting Workshop, led by Mr. Michael Turner from Hologic, guided participants through spine, hip, whole body, and forearm reporting with practical insights. In the afternoon Seminar, Mr. Turner and Mr. Ryan Tam shared expertise on bone composition, DXA body composition, and radiography realignment, bridging clinical practice with history‑based approaches. With strong attendance and lively discussion, the event highlighted HKRA’s commitment to advancing professional knowledge and fostering collaboration. 💙
