Going to camps is an indispensable part of cadets’ training. As one of the largest event in our squadron, the Graduation Camp of 403 Squadron was held successfully from 12-14 April 2024.

We witnessed significant improvement in cadets’ communication skills, team spirit, leadership skills and stress management throughout the three days. Enjoyable events such as kayaking and night journey are also added to create unforgettable memories among cadets and the committee members

Our recent meeting revolved around physical training of our cadets. Instead of following the traditional approach, we tried to modify the format of physical training to become less exam-oriented, rather emphasising on the teamwork among our cadets.

We are also thrilled to have one of the campus staff working previously in the field of aviation engineering to share with us some technical parts of a jet.

As part of our training syllabus, an Aircraft Recognition lecture was held amidst the hills of Tai Mo Shan, providing a fabulous experience to witness various aircraft soaring overhead while attending the lecture.

It was a truly exceptional learning experience that resonated with the timeless wisdom:

“Experience is the best teacher.”

Attending the Corps’ fliying operation generously provided by Heliservice in Lam Tsuen was an unforgettable and immersive experience. Observing the stunning aerial views of Hong Kong with its iconic landmarks, and the pilot’s flight procedures and interaction with the tower, we have had a practical out-of-classroom aviation lesson. The presence of renowned actor Michael Wong further highlighted our special visit at the hangar with an opportunity to see various aircrafts including the MD902 heli. This exceptional experience of flying, exclusive hangar access, and unexpected celebrity encounter will surely remain as one of our most treasured and lasting memory.

Our Story

About us

Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps No.403 (Wah Yan) Squadron was founded in 2002. Cadets of squadron are educated with commitment, selflessness and respect, together with core values of the Jesuit education.

Air Cadet is NOT a flying school. Throughout the years, by offering quality aviation education and activities supported by the local aviation industry, we are a stepping store for young people who pursue aviation either as a career or as a hobby.

We also provide our cadets with a wide spectrum of training on leadership, physical fitness, expedition and footdrill. These training enhance holistic development of teenagers with discipline.
