In accordance with the Constitution of the School of Creative Media Alumni Association (SCMAA), nominations were invited on 26 August 2025 for one place of President, one place of Vice-President, one place of Honorary Secretary, one place of Honorary Treasurer and four Members of the Second Executive Committee of SCMAA.

I am pleased to announce that by the closing time for nominations, 5:00 pm on 2 September 2025, the following validated nominations have been received (listed according to the alphabetical order of the candidates' surnames):

4. CHUNG Yik Ki

As per Point 5.1.4 of the Constitution, the number of Executive Committee Members shall be not less than eight and not more than twenty. As the number of nominations does not exceed the number of vacancies, in accordance with Point 5.1.6 of the Constitution, no voting shall be necessary. The candidates so nominated shall then be deemed to be elected automatically as it was uncontested and shall be appointed to the aforementioned positions by consensus, or other means accepted by the Executive Committee, within the Executive Committee.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the School of Creative Media Alumni Association (SCMAA) will be held on Tuesday, 9 September 2025 at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Members are cordially invited to attend the AGM.

2. Items for discussion and decision (*see Note i)

Election

NOMINATIONS are invited for one place of President, one place of Vice-President, one place of Honorary Secretary, one place of Honorary Treasurer and four Members of the Second Executive Committee of SCMAA. The elected members will serve on the Committee for a term of two years from 10 September 2025 to 9 September 2027. All Ordinary Members of SCMAA are invited to make nominations and participate in the election. Completed nomination forms should reach the SCMAA Secretariat, by 5:00 pm on 2 September 2025 by email ([email protected]).

Nick Cheuk is a member of the Hong Kong Screenwriters’ Guild and the screenwriter of Hong Kong action film ‘Paradox’. He was also the Creative Director of the 38th Hong Kong Film Awards.

Graduated from the of City University of Hong Kong in 2012, Nick studied Cinematic Arts under the supervision of renowned director Patrick Tam.

In 2023-2024, Nick won the Best New Director award at the 42th Hong Kong Film Awards , 60th Golden Horse Awards , 17th Asian Film Awards and Hong Kong Directors Guild Awards 2024 for his first feature film ‘Time Still Turns the Pages’, written and directed by him and produced by Derek Yee.

Chilai Howard is a Hong Kong interdisciplinary art worker and designer, graduated at the Critical Intermedia Laboratory, , CityU HK and HKUST, who experiments the possibility of mediums creating atmosphere that explores humans’ subconscious mind, behaviours and physical interactivity.

His experimental video art, mixed-media and interactive installations have been exhibited internationally in Tate Modern London, ZKM Media Museum Karlsruhe, Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei, Arad Museum, National Centre for Contemporary Arts, Saint Petersburg and Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts.

In 2010, Chilai founded a Hong Kong based award-winning creative studio specialising in graphic arts and spatial design. In 2023, he was invited to be the Creative Director for FUSE, Omnicom Media Group Hong Kong. He is also an artistic consultant of and guest lecturer for university and seminars.

He received Award for Young Artist (Media Arts) from the 17th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards, HKADC (2023) and named HKMOL’s Most Outstanding Leader of the Year (2022) for graphic arts and spatial design and multiple awards from Red Dot, Muse Award by the American Alliance of Museums, Marketing Interactive, MARCOM and MUSE Design Awards.

Throughout her career, Carmen has demonstrated strong leadership abilities, serving as the co-founder and Managing Director of Animae Studio and Animae Technologies Limited.
