Tzu Chings in Hong Kong:
Tzu Chi Collegiate Association (HK) was established in 2008, Members of this association are called "Tzu Chings", meaning "compassionate youths". We participate in community services, and through our acts of giving to the community and caring for others, we learn important principles and values of life, while developing a noble character and a sound mind. Our activities include nursing home and hospital visits, as well as taking part in free health screening and fund-raising events organized by Tzu Chi Foundation in Hong Kong. To show our concern for our Mother Earth, we engage in promoting environmentalism by volunteering at recycling stations, participating in World Earth Day events, and cleaning up the beaches in Hong Kong. As part of caring for the planet, we also promote vegetarianism, which not only benefits our health and well-being, but also makes a positive impact on the environment. We start from ourselves, and hope to inspire more young people to join us in giving of themselves to make this world a better place for all to live in. About Tzu Chi Foundation:
