We are Hong Kong Girl Guides from the 96th West Kowloon Company A, which is in the King’s Park district, Yau Tsim Mong division. Now, we currently have 8 guiders and around 30 guides. All the guides are divided into 3 patrols, Patrol Bougainvillia, Patrol Flame Tree and Patrol Gentian. Each patrol has their own patrol leader and patrol second, they will lead the guides to learn and to go for chall
enges. Guiding is fun and free from the constraints imposed by formal education. During meetings, Guiders will train up girls on challenges and activities relating to the Girl Guides Eight Point Programme, learning by doing, such as involved in community services, knotting, footdrill, hiking, camping, & outdoor cooking. The Programme is aimed at developing character, sound values, self confidence and self esteem through the learning of skills and participation in various activities. And essential to build friendships between Guides. Moreover, we have joint unit programs with other Girl Guide units and other uniform groups, to help our Guides develop their organizational skills.
