INTERNATIONAL SEPAKTAKRAW FEDERATION AT THE MEDIA CONFERENCE, ISTAF SEPAKTAKRAW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 38TH THAI KINGS CUP 2025, ON 7 JUNE 2025 AT HAT YAI, SONGKHLA, THAILAND
Once again, Sepaktakraw takes its rightful place on the international stage with the 38th ISTAF Sepaktakraw World Championship – Thai King’s Cup 2025, to be held in the vibrant city of Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, Thailand, from 20 to 27 July 2025. We are deeply grateful to The Honourable Mr. Chotnarin Kerdsom, Governor of Songkhla Province, for his steadfast support and for affirming the province’s full readiness to host this prestigious event.
This championship marks a significant milestone in the ongoing global journey of Sepaktakraw. More than a competition, it is a celebration of skill, unity, and the indomitable spirit of sportsmanship. It offers an
invaluable platform for world-class athletes to display their excellence
while fostering friendship, mutual respect, and understanding among
participants of diverse backgrounds—transcending borders of race,
religion, and nationality.
On behalf of ISTAF, I express my deepest appreciation to the Takraw
Association of Thailand (TAT), led by President Mr. Thana Chaiprasit,
Secretary General Dr. Srihasak Arrirachakaran, and Mr. Boonchai
Lorhpipat, Chairman of the Organizing Committee. Their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts have been instrumental in bringing this tournament to life. It is indeed fitting that Thailand—a nation celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and unmatched hospitality—plays host to this world-class event.
To all athletes, officials, and country representatives, I extend a warm
welcome to Hat Yai, Songkhla. May this championship stand as a proud
testament to Sepaktakraw’s excellence and serve to further strengthen the bonds of our international community. Let us work hand in hand to ensure a memorable and successful tournament for all.
