多年來，本地培養了不少中樂之精英人才，在一眾中樂趐楚之帶領下，香港中樂發展基金會在2011年成立。 香港中樂發展基金會為一非弁利機構，基金會植根本土，旨為推動中樂事業之發展。在團結各界中樂愛好者之同時，並將中樂教育惠澤社群，願予社會各界共同分享中國音樂之意樂神髓，提供共融、共賞及共享之音樂平台。基金會由主席李開先生及副主席陳敏莊女士為首，配以一眾年青而富有熱誠及活動策劃經驗的執行幹事。基金會定期舉辦各類型活動，例如：器樂研習班，工作坊，講座，大師班，研討會等。使更多市民能接觸中國音樂。 香港中樂發展基金會座落於油麻地，距離油麻地港鐵站僅五分鐘路程，另外更有多條巴士線直達門口，交通極為方便。
