得知能搬到更舒適的地方，街坊們雀躍不已，並主動協助打造新宿舍。

炎夏裡，義工搬運物資、安裝床架，大家在歡笑中交流經歷與技能。街坊也分享對新宿舍的憧憬，至今仍與同事回味這段美好過程。😆

🏘️Continuing the story of our hostel relocation- six months before the official move, we partnered with a hostel and rented five rooms as a trial.

Over time, the hostel saw that our friends were no different from other residents, and even helped care for the shared spaces. This trust led to a long-term collaboration, allowing us to fully relocate and provide a cleaner, tidier home.✨

When news of the relocation spread, our friends were overjoyed. Many volunteered to carry supplies and assemble bed frames under the summer sun, sharing laughter, stories, and dreams of life in the new hostel. 😆 Even now, nearly a year later, they still fondly recall those moments.

With summer approaching once again, we hope to prepare 15 lightweight blankets so our friends can sleep peacefully through the hot nights. If you’d like to support, please email [email protected] or DM us to donate. ❤️

昨天，由我們的街坊和同路舍團隊組成的足球隊，一同參與 E.I.P. 慈善 6 人足球賽。
這真是一個難忘的日子。

從第一聲哨響到最後一個入球，我們看見了勇氣、團隊精神和喜悅。曾經內斂的朋友，在球場上充滿自信地奔跑，努力追逐每一個球。而當突破性的入球出現時，球員和啦啦隊的歡呼聲令全場氣氛沸騰。

這不只是足球，而是人性與社區連結的展現。屬於一支隊伍的力量是如此強大，昨晚再次提醒我們，運動能跨越背景，把人連繫在一起。它提醒我們每個人都有寶貴的角色，因為團結讓我們更好。❤️

Impact on and off the pitch! 📢

Yesterday our friends and staff entered two teams into the E.I.P. Charity 6s Football Tournament.

The vibes were off the charts!

From the first whistle to the final goal, we witnessed courage, teamwork, and joy. Friends who once felt shy and reserved ran with confidence, chasing every ball with determination. And when that breakthrough goal was scored, the energy from teammates and cheer squad alike lit up the entire field!

This wasn’t just football, it was humanity in motion. Belonging to a team is so powerful, and last night was a reminder that sports can connect people across backgrounds. It reminded us that we all have a valuable role to play and that we are better together. ❤️

A big thank-you to EIP for hosting such a meaningful event and for your continued support of ImpactHK year after year. Your kindness continues to create opportunities that lift our friends to grow, shine, and be seen. 【Inside ImpactHK: Programme Team Series / 走進同路舍：團隊故事】

自 2025 年 8 月 17 日起，《公共衞生及市政條例（修訂）》生效，如部門認為無家者的物品妨礙街道清潔，最快可清走無家者物品的等候時間，由4小時縮短至30分鐘。

我們認識一位年過七旬的無家伯伯，因需要去廁所而把家當放置於大角咀街道後巷，他回來時，只剩下一張通知書，其他家當都被清走了。他原本打算當晚在深水埗出售部分物品以賺取微薄收入，但這個機會也因此失去了。🥺

在保持街道整潔的同時，我們相信仍有空間採取更有關懷與尊嚴的方式，避免無家者失去僅有的生活依靠。❤️

Could you pack up your life in 30 minutes?

The Public Health and Municipal Services (Amendment) Ordinance used to allow departments to clear belongings of people experiencing homelessness after 4 hours, but since August 17th, 2025 this time period has been reduced to just 30 minutes.

We know an elderly gentleman in his seventies who is currently experiencing homelessness in Tai Kok Tsui. He left his belongings briefly to use the restroom. When he returned, everything was gone except a notice. Items he had hoped to sell that evening were lost, cutting off his only chance to earn a meager income.🥺

While keeping streets clean, we believe there is still room for a kind approach with more care and dignity- so that people experiencing homelessness don’t lose what little they have . ❤️

透過這場交流，我們不只分享了食物，更傳遞了那份「被看見、被理解」的力量。也讓我們更深信共居的價值：比起傳統宿舍，這種如家人般的互助與尊重，才是療癒創傷、重建自信的關鍵。

ImpactHK were delighted to welcome Stephy Tang to our women’s co-living home recently🏠, where she joined our group for a meaningful sharing and a nice meal.

Over handmade dumplings and heartfelt stories, her presence and resilience brought immense comfort and courage to our friends navigating difficult times.

Our friends greatly appreciated Stephy’s visit. It was more than just a meal together, it was about being "seen and understood".

當醫療感覺遙不可及時，人們往往會延遲就醫——而小問題就會變成大問題。

自從公共醫療收費改革於一月開始以來，我們調查了 120 位無家者，以了解這些變化如何影響他們。

以下是我們的發現：

- 57% 計劃減少就醫次數
- 近 70% 表示無法接受急症室收費增加至400元
- 雖然大多數人知道有醫療費用減免政策，但並不清楚如何申請

超過9成受訪者已符合申請減免資格，但複雜的程序、漫長的批核時間，以及不穩定的生活狀況，都增加了他們的申請難度，甚至失去申請意欲。

根據我們的前線經驗，更清晰的指引和更簡化的流程，已經能為人們帶來很大的幫助。如果能再提供一些支持，例如為邊緣社群提供醫療津貼、放寬豁免費用的資格、以及加強社區協助來消除資訊斷層，就能讓更多人安心獲得所需的醫療服務。

我們會一如既往地與各方協作，確保社會中最容易被忽視的人，也能公平、可負擔地獲得基本醫療保障。

When healthcare feels out of reach, people delay care - and small issues become bigger ones.

Since the Public Healthcare Fees & Charges Reform began in January, we surveyed 120 people experiencing homelessness to understand how changes are affecting them.

Here's what we found:

- 57% plan to reduce medical visits
- Nearly 70% feel unable to afford the new $400 A&E charge
- While most know waivers exist, many don't understand how to apply

Many individuals technically qualify for support - but complex processes, long waits, and unstable living situations make accessing care difficult.

From our frontline experience, people would benefit from clearer guidance and simplified pathways. By providing targeted subsidies for marginalised groups, widening fee waiver eligibility, and strengthening community support, we could close information gaps and make a meaningful difference.

We remain committed to working collaboratively to ensure that no-one delays getting the essential care they need, simply because the system feels too hard to navigate.

上月，就業組在太子關注草根生活聯盟的社區歇腳點，舉辦了《同行再出發》招聘會，吸引近180名無家朋友及區內人士到場！感謝國泰附屬服務、太興、亞洲空運中心、7-Eleven 及永旺永樂支持，合共提供逾 250 個空缺。

現場除了有 Recruit 平台及特色攤位，更有我們的社區助理親手調製暖心飲品，為求職者加油打氣！💪

就業組未來將策劃更多行業講座，助街坊掌握職場脈搏。與大家並肩迎接新機遇 ！✨

Last month, our Employment Team hosted the "Moving Forward Together" Job Fair at Nallahspace in Prince Edward, welcoming nearly 180 neighbours and homeless friends!

A huge thank you to Cathay Subsidiary Services, Tai Hing, Asia Airfreight Terminal, 7-Eleven, and AEON Delight for providing over 250 job vacancies.

Beyond the Recruit platform and interactive booths, another highlight was our Community Assistants serving as drink specialists, hand-crafting beverages to cheer on all the job seekers! 💪

Moving forward, the Employment Team will organise more industry seminars to help our friends stay updated on market trends. Let’s embrace new opportunities together! ✨

【Inside ImpactHK: Programme Team Series / 走進同路舍：團隊故事】

無家者同學會（Alumni Service)，是我們今年度用心推展的新項目。

不久前，我們與曾經歷無家歲月的「畢業生」們圍坐一桌，共進團年飯。重逢之間，大家笑談近況，也細說那些曾經的艱難與勇氣，感恩當時一路有支持、有同行，讓每一步都不孤單。

未來，我們將攜手成立「同學會」。這不止是連結與支持的起點，更是一個彼此成長、回饋社區的平台。願我們一起，將曾領受的溫暖化為行動，傳遞給更多人；也願我們把溫暖傳遞開去，讓更多人相信從無家到有家，從孤單到連結，路或許不易，但總能抵達。

關懷、愛、信任，永遠是家最堅實的根基。

This year, we’re pouring our hearts into a brand-new project: The ImpactHK Alumni Association.

We recently gathered for a reunion dinner with our “Graduates”, individuals who have courageously moved beyond their days of homelessness. Around the table, we shared laughter, life updates, and stories of the strength it took to overcome the hardest chapters. It was a beautiful reminder that no one should have to walk the path to recovery alone.

Going forward, this Alumni Association will be more than just a network. It will be a platform for mutual growth and a way to give back to the community. We’re turning the warmth we’ve received into action, passing it on to the next person who needs a spark of hope.

The road isn’t always easy, but their success inspires others to walk it, knowing we are there to support the journey.
