The Role
The Executive Director leads the foundation in fulfilling its mission, reporting to the Board of Directors. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategy, fundraising, regional partnerships and media representation, working alongside a lean team of project leaders based in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and mainland China, supported by a Hong Kong-based team.

* Responsibilities*
💼 Set and execute the foundation's strategic direction in line with the Board's vision
💼 Build and deepen relationships with funders, government bodies, grantees and project partners across Asia
💼 Identify, secure and steward funding sources, primarily across Asia
💼 Oversee the full project portfolio, ensuring delivery, impact, compliance and financial discipline
💼 Lead and mentor a lean multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and shared accountability
💼 Ensure high standards of governance, finance, administration and compliance

*Requirements*
⭐Leadership experience in a charity, foundation or non-profit organization, or a senior commercial career (ideally with regional P/L responsibility) now transitioning into mission-driven work
⭐Regional experience across Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam) or Greater China (Hong Kong and mainland China); experience in both is strongly preferred
⭐Hands-on experience in environmental or sustainability work, ideally sustainable and eco-friendly agriculture
⭐China experience and the ability to speak Mandarin; PRC compliance experience an advantage
⭐Strong business sense and commercial acumen
⭐Comfort working in a small, lean organization, and willingness to roll up sleeves
⭐Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, including media and public representation
⭐Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin required, Cantonese an advantage
⭐Willingness to travel approximately 30-40%

This role is well suited to seasoned professionals who are seeking purpose-driven work and are motivated by mission and impact.

* Responsibilities*
💼 Report to the Executive Director in handling full set of accounting and other general administration and some company secretarial duties
💼 Maintain account payable and receivable and the general ledger by using cloud accounting tools (e.g. Xero)
💼 Coordination basic financial administration relating to regional B Corp application pipelines, local partner billing, and community event fees
💼 Track funding drawdowns, expenses and allocations to ensure strict adherence to non-profit budgeting principles
💼 Prepare monthly cash flow overviews and expense trackers, and basic financial health reports for management review
💼 Organize financial files and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors for the annual statutory audit
💼 Manage annual filings (i.e. NAR1), regional registration updates, and corporate maintenance requirements for Hong Kong NGO

*Requirements*
⭐Solid experience in handling full-set accounting with experience working in NGO and or SME is preferred
⭐Strong understanding of the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance and familiar with Section 88 charity operations or NGO accounting is a distinct advantage
⭐Exceptionally organized, independent and strong communication skills
⭐Bilingual fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is essential for local stakeholder and board correspondence
⭐Proficient with Google Workspace and basic cloud accounting, MS Office with strong Excel skills

9月15日，HRCA 很高興與 香港人力資源學會 HKIHRM 合辦 「人才多面睇 — 轉危為機：釋放50+人才價值」 網上研討會，近70人參與。

HRCA 創辦人 Ryan Yeung 及顧問 Eleanor Ng 從僱主角度出發，探討聘用50+人才時常見的顧慮，包括跨代合作、科技適應及團隊配合，並分享如何將這些「顧慮」轉化為機遇。

50+人才亦不只有我們熟悉的傳統角色。他們的穩定性、風險意識、經驗傳承及多角度思維，正好與年輕同事的速度、數碼能力及創新思維互補。

On 15 September, HRCA was pleased to co-organise “Value of 50+ Talents – Turning Challenges into Opportunities” with HKIHRM, with nearly 70 attendees joining us.

HRCA Founder Ryan Yeung and Consultant Eleanor Ng explored common employer concerns around hiring 50+ talent — from cross-generational dynamics and technology adoption to organisational fit — and how these perceived challenges can become opportunities.

The discussion also looked beyond the traditional image of 50+ workers. Experienced talent can bring stability, risk awareness, knowledge transfer and multi-angle insights, complementing the speed, digital agility and fresh thinking of younger colleagues.

Our key message: 50+ talent is everywhere. Keep an open mind, and you may see talent differently.
