Our hearts are heavy. In the wake of the devastating fire tragedy at Wang F*k Court, Tai Po, the St. Catherine's Old Student Association extends our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives, and our sincerest wishes for a full recovery to the injured.
During this time of profound sorrow, we stand in solidarity with our Tai Po community and all affected. Let us hold the victims and our brave frontline responders in our thoughts.
In line with this spirit of compassion, we wish to amplify our school's meaningful initiative to provide direct support. St. Catherine's International Kindergarten is collaborating with the Hong Kong Red Cross βTai Po Fire Emergency Appealβ to collect designated donations for emergency relief and recovery services for the affected families.
To further support this cause, the school will match the total amount donated by parents and alumni on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to a ceiling of HK$250,000.
We encourage our alumnae community, who may wish to contribute in support of our school's effort, to do so through this official and verified channel. Donations can be made voluntarily via the school's designated donation link (https://donation.redcross.org.hk/onlinedonation/user_donation.aspx?op=8188&a=9957&lang=en) from today until 5 Dec 2025.
The final donation amount, including the school's matching contribution, will be shared at a later date. Thank you for joining our wider school community in showing tangible care and solidarity to the families in need.
May we all remember the strength found in compassion and community.
