‘I want to capture that urban moment of being blinded by the sun reflected from the face of a skyscraper. A moment of a powerful reminder of the planetary relationship we exist within.’ 🪞🌇

What if a skyscraper no longer stood upright but cantilevered horizontally on its side, freed from gravity? Stella Zhong ()’s commissioned installation ‘Warp Until Fearless’, brings this vision to life.

The glaring reflections act like artificial sun, momentarily blinding anyone who steps before them. Walk past the glare, small geometric and organic forms emerge across the glass slope—debris, molecules, or fragments from another world, shifting between stillness and action.

Drawing from Zhong’s experiences in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Jakarta, the work speaks to cities shaped by rapid transformation, where time feels warped and architecture constantly reinvents itself across different landscapes.

On view now at ‘Site-seeing’ until Sun 14 Jun 2026.

A camel wanders. A voice drifts. 🐫🌀

Covey Gong ()’s ‘After the World’ shows an unnamed protagonist leading a camel through an unnamed city — past abandoned buildings and glass-clad, high-rise skyscrapers through a landscape shaped by different temporalities and rapid development.

In the film, fantasy and desire bleed into everyday life, fueled by spectacles and mediated images that fill public space. But an introspective voice haunts the frame, naming personal and collective anxieties: displacement, alienation, fragmentation.

The wandering camel becomes a symbol of the gap between our dreamed worlds and the socio-economic realities that undergird them.

A poignant, deep meditation on second‑tier cities, torn between rapid globalisation and the fragile self.

On view now at ‘Site-seeing’ until Sun 14 Jun 2026.

The mall is never just a mall 🛍️

‘Many Undulating Things’, a 4K video by Bo Wang (.wang__) and Lu Pan (), moves through glass, concrete, and enclosed structures – tracing Hong Kong’s shopping malls not as neutral spaces, but as architectures of desire.

What happens when the mall becomes the city’s primary public square? Where belonging meets spending, and the everyday becomes a quiet negotiation between containment and practices of meaning-making?

An excerpt from the artists’ essay‑documentary (2019/2026), the video presents a historical view of commercial development in Hong Kong and its ‘mallification’–a term describing the dominance of retail architecture as a primary form of public space in the city.

On view now at ‘Site-seeing’ until Sun 14 Jun 2026.

A found boiler becomes a vessel for time. 🕰️♨️

Tolia Astakhishvili’s () architectural and sculptural interventions demonstrate an attentiveness to the human impulse to make and to discard. In her multidimensional and total environments, domestic debris, disavowed objects and clutter divorced from its former use are gathered and sorted into new arrangements. In ‘forbidden place’, Astakhishvili turned a discarded boiler that was previously installed in the garden shed of the Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation into a site-specific container for her hand-drawn animation, ‘HIM’.

In ‘HIM’, we encounter the passing of time as both a non-generative and accumulative force, a notion often reflected in Astakhishvili’s spatial and layered use of drawings, writings, paintings and animations.

On view now at ‘Site-seeing’ until Sun 14 Jun 2026.

🎉We are delighted to announce Liao Jiaming () has been selected as the inaugural artist for our new International Residency Programme, organised in partnership with Triangle Network (). The programme begins with HANGAR (Lisbon) () in 2026.

🌍This new residency connects Hong Kong‑based early‑career artists with global artistic ecosystems. Each year, the programme will rotate to different partner destinations through Triangle Network’s international reach. In 2026, Liao will spend two months at HANGAR, Portugal — a space founded by artists and curators, deeply committed to artistic research and experimentation.

During the residency, Liao will have access to HANGAR‘s on-site facilities for art-making — including a painting room, dark room, and music studio. The residency is also devised with dialogue in mind, and will encompass collaborative activities, studio visits, and public programmes.

🌟Looking ahead, this is a long‑term commitment by Para Site and Triangle Network to expand cultural exchange opportunities for the next generation of artists based in Hong Kong.

They begin with structures of control, then grow into something alive. 🕸️🌱🐚👟

Anna Sew Hoy’s () ‘Heavy Sun and Commotion’ and ‘Hard Swamp Ecstatic Return’ rise like small, unruly cities. By firing cages with ceramic arches in the kiln together, cage and clay are fused by heat, creating sculptural forms that feel alive.

Sew Hoy later re‑inhabits the inner landscape of the sculpture with found detritus—what emerges is not static but vibrant and animated, shaped by organic and spontaneous development.

These sculptures speak to the urban condition: control and captivity entwined with spontaneity and surprise. The city, too, is never just built, it is constantly remade by people, materials, and structures.

On view now at ‘Site-seeing’ until Sun 14 Jun 2026.

Anna Sew Hoy

Sew Hoy

Some barriers are built to be seen, some only reveal themselves in the way you slow down. ⛓️

In Ko Sin Tung’s () ‘Experimental Field’, low metal railings and a matrix of cut bottle‑like containers form a fragile barrier across the exhibition space: one that seems provisional but quietly exerts control.

In ‘An Acute Manner’, hand‑twisted barbed wires are suspended from the ceiling like a row of moving curtains. Driven by a mechanical system, these wire panels drift slowly sideways — shifting from static defence into a silent, drifting threat.

As a pair, the works generate a spatial atmosphere charged with tension, exposure, and risk. The barriers guide and condition the movement and orientation of bodies, exposing how the arrangement of space operates as a disciplinary mechanism.

On view now at ‘Site-seeing’ until Sun 14 Jun 2026.
