【Anthony Lau: Hong Kong Is Dedicated to Becoming a Family Office Hub】

Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) was proud to present a new session of the “Our Hong Kong Stories” series on 11 June. We were delighted to invite the keynote speaker, Olderigo Fantacci, Advisor of OHKF and Retired Partner of Deloitte Asia Pacific International Core of Excellence (AP ICE), to share his insights as a cross-border investment and family office specialist.

The panel discussion was moderated by Francesco Vitali, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao. The other panellists included Olderigo Fantacci , Giulio Gubert, Deputy Consul-General, Italian Consulate in Hong Kong; William Chow, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer, Raffles Family Office; Cliff Ip, Partner of Wings Capital Family Office; Anthony Lau, Deloitte China Tax & Business Advisory Hong Kong Leader.

During the panel session, Anthony Lau stated that Hong Kong has surpassed Switzerland as the world's largest cross-border wealth management hub, now home to over 3,380 single-family offices. Hong Kong is committed to building itself into a true family office hub, which goes beyond investment to encompass family legacy, knowledge, and connections. As European families share their secrets to longevity and Asian families offer their speed and agility in business, it creates a powerful win-win for both sides.

【Navigating AI: Bridging Education and Industry to Nurture Future-Ready Talent” Seminar】

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping the global economy and labour market. Amid rapid changes to job structures and skill requirements, Hong Kong’s education system must adapt to ensure that our next generation can thrive in an AI-driven future.

In January 2026, Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) published the report “Application and Development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Primary and Secondary Education”, exploring the application of AI on campus. Surveying 1,200 teachers and students, the study found that more than 90% had already used AI in teaching and learning. The research also highlighted several concerns.

OHKF will host a seminar titled “Navigating AI: Bridging Education and Industry to Nurture Future-Ready Talent” on June 26 (Friday) to share research findings and invite industry professionals to engage in in-depth discussions on the impact of AI on education and industry.

【2026第二屆企業出海發展大會】

由團結香港基金（基金會）參與主辦的2026第二屆企業出海發展大會於5月27日順利舉行。

基金會總裁李正儀博士發表了題為「融通跨境金融與物流，鑄就出海核心競爭力」的主題演講，點出了香港在協助内地企業透過跨境融資與物流出海走向全球的獨特地位。李博士亦分享了團結香港基金的最新倡議，建議特區政府加強對出海企業的基礎設施及服務支援。

基金會副總裁兼公共政策研究院執行總監水志偉主持題為「出海保險與金融底座」的座談會，聚焦於保險業如何在全球風險不斷變化的環境中支持企業出海走向全球。嘉賓包括亞洲保險行政總裁兼基金會顧問黃子遜，以及多位保險業界的知名代表。

基金會副總裁兼公共政策研究院執行總監葉文祺受邀參與題為「跨境金融與創新賦能」的座談會，討論金融工具與供應鏈創新如何與支持企業出海的政策產生協同效應。同場的嘉賓來自清華大學、中大-深圳管理學院及深圳領先企業等。

基金會研究經理張飛揚與基金會研究員梁容剛亦有出席此活動。

【Enterprises Go-Global Development Forum 2026】

Organised with the participation of Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF), the Enterprises Go-Global Development Forum 2026 (2026第二屆企業出海發展大會) was successfully held on May 27.

Dr Jane Lee, President of OHKF, delivered a keynote speech highlighting Hong Kong’s unique position in assisting Chinese Mainland enterprises to go global through cross-border finance and logistics. Dr Lee also shared the latest recommendations advocated by OHKF for enhancing service and infrastructure support offered by the Hong Kong SAR Government to enterprises “going global”.

Kenny Shui, Vice President of OHKF and Executive Director of the Public Policy Institute, moderated a panel discussion titled “Laying the foundations of insurance and finance for going global”, focusing on how the insurance industry could support enterprises going global amidst ever-changing risks globally. Panellists included Asia Insurance CEO and OHKF Advisor Winnie Wong among prominent representatives of the insurance sector.

Ryan Ip, Vice President of OHKF and Executive Director of the Public Policy Institute, was invited to speak on the panel titled “Cross-border finance and innovation”, discussing how financial tools and supply chain innovation could generate synergy with policies to support companies going global. Panellists engaged were from CUHK-SZ School of Management and Economics, Tsinghua University, and leading Shenzhen enterprises.

Dr Feiyang Zhang, Research Manager of OHKF, and Marcus Leung, Researcher of OHKF, also attended the event.

In the panel session, Cliff Ip, Partner of Wings Capital Family Office, expressed that Italy has lots of good brands or businesses with very high-quality craftsmanship that can go global and go to the Asia Pacific market, and Hong Kong can get capital to provide the energy and the fuel to the Italian companies to go elsewhere. He believed this represented opportunities for Hong Kong’s professional firms to act as the “super connector” and “super value adder”.

Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) was proud to present a new session of the “Our Hong Kong Stories” series on 11 June. We were delighted to invite the keynote speaker, Olderigo Fantacci, Advisor of OHKF and Retired Partner of Deloitte Asia Pacific International Core of Excellence (AP ICE), to share his insights as a cross-border investment and family office specialist.

In the panel session, William Chow, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer, Raffles Family Office expressed that from the statistics of investment, Hong Kong was the third largest net investor of Asia in Italy, and in terms of trade flow, Hong Kong to Italy is about 3 billion USD per year. He believed the establishment is here, and how we can do more is about engagement.

團結香港基金（基金會）的「我們的香港故事」系列與香港海事博物館於5月29日合辦新一場活動，榮幸邀請到文達船務有限公司主席克士利（Tim Huxley），分享他在航運界奮鬥四十載的非凡歷程，以及他對香港這個家的深厚情感。

克士利在演講中指出，香港的海事服務角色百年來不斷演變，雖然產業歷經轉型，但船舶管理等高端服務已發展為全球翹楚。他強調，大灣區的崛起正帶來強強聯手的全新契機，只要香港繼續發揮海事金融與法律等傳統優勢並擁抱創科，定能保持國際海事中心地位。

Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF), in collaboration with the Hong Kong Maritime Museum (HKMM), held a new session of the “Our Hong Kong Stories” series on 29 May. We were honored to have Tim Huxley, Chairman of Mandarin Shipping Limited, share his remarkable 40-year journey in the maritime world and the city he calls home.

In his speech, Tim Huxley highlighted that Hong Kong's maritime role has evolved significantly, with high-value sectors like ship management thriving globally despite industry transformation. He emphasized that the rise of the Greater Bay Area unlocks a powerful alliance, and he remains confident that Hong Kong will maintain its status as a premier international maritime hub by leveraging its core expertise and embracing innovation.
