🙌💛☀️Summer at RUN☀️💛🙌 . .
For many, summer in Hong Kong is a time for family travel, but for refugees and asylum seekers who cannot leave the city, the long school break can feel lonely. Our 5-week Summer Programme at RUN gives our children and teens something exciting to look forward to—a space to move, learn, heal, and play.
Throughout the five weeks, our community took part in an incredible variety of activities:
* Creative Arts & Physical Theatre: Bringing original stories to life using body movement and living sculptures.
* Environmental Workshops: Exploring climate issues through interactive teen workshops.
* Sports & Coaching: Building teamwork and physical confidence through rugby and football sessions.
* Indoor Skills & Play: Practicing cooking in the kitchen, small-group classroom learning, and active play in ninja obstacle zones.
* Wildlife & Conservation: Meeting unique animals up close and learning to respect the creatures we share our planet with.
* Nature-Based Healing: Outdoor day trips to beaches, trails, and rock pools at Tai Tam Tuk, Mui Wo, and Silvermine Waterfall.
None of this would have been possible without our community of dedicated partners who opened their doors, shared their spaces, and brought their expertise to our community as well as our volunteers who shared their time and passion.
Not everyone has been named here but, to list just a few, thank you to:
