Hong Kong Society of Paediatric Cardiology HKSPC is committed to advancing the field of paediatric cardiology and improving the health of children with heart diseases.

The field of paediatric cardiology has come a long way over the last half century in Hong Kong - from the first pediatric open heart surgery in 1964, to the first arterial switch, Fontan operation and other more complex surgeries in the 1980s and then to the 1990s, when we saw a flourish of new transcatheter and electrophysiological techniques. With the same dedication our forefathers shared in the development of paediatric cardiology in Hong Kong, our mission is to advance the science of cardiovascular diseases and promote cardiovascular health in children as a united front through education, scientific activities, community events and research.
