🌍✨ Harmony and Peace Gala 2026 ✨🌍
On March 28, UNESCO Hong Kong Association Glocal Peace Centre proudly hosted our inaugural fundraising gala, “Harmony and Peace: UN 80th x Glocal Peace Centre 8th Charity Gala”, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Admiralty.

🥂Over 150 like-minded from education, culture, and environmental sectors came together for an unforgettable evening of music, dialogue, and collective commitment to peace.

🎶 Highlights included enthralling performances by pianists Billy P**n, Phoebus Chan, and Niu Niu—each celebrating UNESCO’s pillars of Education, Science, and Culture. Together, they delivered a powerful six-hand rendition , symbolizing collaboration to bring unity and harmony.

🌟 The gala also celebrated the appointment of new Peace Ambassadors and honored Parsons Music and the CC Wu Cultural Education Foundation with the SDGs Action for Peace Award for their outstanding contributions to advancing peace through music, education, and community engagement.

💡 Proceeds from the evening will support the Centre’s ongoing initiatives in peace education, cultural heritage, youth empowerment, and sustainable development—continuing UNESCO’s vision of “building peace in the minds of men and women.”

🕊️Together, we are cultivating the next generation of peacebuilders and shaping a more harmonious future.

Congratulations to all participants of the Positive Peace Training! 🌟🎉

We’ve just completed the full 3-Stage Positive Peace Teacher Training 2025!
From the energetic “Key Concepts of Peace” workshop on 14 Nov, through the self-paced online course, to last Friday’s inspiring finale “Positive Peace in Action” at HKU — teachers from kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools, and even Macau, have now finished the entire series.
Once again brilliantly facilitated by Dr. Jack Tsao, Associate Director of the Common Core at HKU and Ambassador for the Institute for Economics & Peace, everyone explored the fundamentals of Positive Peace and how to bring it alive in classrooms. 🕊️
A huge heartfelt thank-you to every teacher for your passion and effort — the seeds are planted. We can’t wait to see them grow into respected Peace Schools across Hong Kong! 🌱✨
Positive Peace training will soon be open to everyone interested in learning and acting for peace — stay tuned!

Exciting update from our Positive Peace Training series! 🌟✨

We just wrapped up the first stage, "Key Concepts of Peace," on November 14 at the University of Hong Kong—this workshop served as the kick-start to our Peace School Programme, with more exciting sessions upcoming! Facilitated by Dr. Jack Tsao, Associate Director of the Common Core at HKU and Ambassador for the Institute for Economics & Peace, participants dove into the fundamentals of positive peace. 🕊️

We had 22 teachers join us from kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools—even some from school in Macau! They learned that positive peace goes beyond the absence of conflict—it's about building attitudes, institutions, and structures that sustain harmonious societies.

We look forward to seeing teachers at the upcoming stages of training as we continue fostering peace together 🌍

🌍✨💖 On September 13, the Peace School Assembly 2025 was held at the Li Po Chun United World College Auditorium, bringing together representatives from 20 schools and various Rotary Clubs, with over 160 passionate participants uniting to promote peace education! 📚🤝🔥

The event kicked off with an inspiring speech by Mr. Eric Chak, Chairman of the Rotary Action Group for Peace Hong Kong & Macau Chapter, one of the organizers. This was followed by an electrifying presentation from Li Po Chun United World College, setting the tone for the day! ⚡😎 The peace displays from various schools were truly remarkable! 🎥🌟👏

The performance by Parsons Dance Academy was so dynamic it made everyone want to join in! 💃🕺🎶 Additionally, Ms. Ellen Lau, Education Director at Preface, delivered an inspiring talk on how AI and technology can elevate learning and career development, sparking great inspiration among the students! 🧠💡🕊️

This year, we introduced the “Outstanding Action for Peace Award” 🏆✨ to recognize and encourage students’ efforts and contributions to peace education! 💪🌍 We wholeheartedly commend all participating schools’ students for their enthusiasm and commitment to creating a better world through active involvement in peace education and youth projects! 🔥🙌🌈

After a vote by attendees, this year’s Outstanding Action for Peace Award went to The Endeavourers Leung Lee Sau Yu Memorial Primary School, Aberdeen St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School, and Ying Wa Primary School, whose outstanding peace initiatives earned everyone’s recognition! 🏆📸🙌

This assembly was more than just an event—it was a step toward a more harmonious world! 🌈✌️ Special thanks to our Peace School Project partners, Preface and Parsons Music, as well as all the attending schools, Rotary Club units, and dedicated volunteers! Every one of you was indispensable, and we look forward to seeing you again at next year’s Peace School Assembly! 😜🚀

🌍✨ 9月21日國際和平日，我哋同香港大學 Common Core一齊搞咗場超有意思嘅活動啦！😍 朝早同港大學生一齊認識和平，以及和平同非物質文化遺產！🕊️📚

我哋邀請到扶輪社前地區總監方奕展先生同經濟與和平研究所大使陳浚榮先生簡單介紹何謂「和平」同「和平指數」🔥 跟住由香港聯合國教科文組織協會和平中心聯席創始人梁美智女士帶領大家分享對和平嘅睇法，同介紹非遺同和平嘅關係。緊接有大中華非物質文化遺產傳藝會會長陸永盛先生介紹帶大家認識「廿四節氣」，感受同大自然和諧共存嘅中國傳統文化！🌞🍂🌾

🌍✨ On September 21, International Day of Peace, we partnered with HKU Common Core for an incredible event! 😍 That morning, HKU students joined us to explore “peace” and “intangible cultural heritage” (ICH). 🕊️📚

Kicking things off, Mr. Eugene Fong, Founding Director of the Rotary Action Group for Peace, and Mr. Gary Chan, Ambassador of the Institute for Economics and Peace, led a vibrant “Let’s Talk Peace!” discussion that had everyone buzzing. 🔥 We were also honored to have Mr. Winson Luk, President of the Greater China Intangible Cultural Heritage Association, introduce ICH basics. His workshop on the “24 Solar Terms” brought to life the harmony of Chinese traditional culture with nature! 🌞🍂🌾

精神健康週

香海正覺蓮社佛教梁植偉中學（和平學校2024-2025年度）

🤍 為建立正向校園氛圍及推廣身心靈健康，學校舉辦「精神健康週」，讓中一至中四同學透過攻防箭、玻璃瓶景、飲品及甜品工作坊等多元體驗，舒緩壓力，重拾歡樂笑容。

🧘 活動期間，師生參與多個精心設計的環節，包括精神健康講座、MBTI測驗、步行禪、護眼操及攤位遊戲等。其中步行禪讓同學專注每一步，忘掉目的地，沉浸在當下，藉此感受日常環境中的美好，提升自我覺察力。圖書館更設「靜心閱讀區」，展出《被討厭的勇氣》等心理健康書籍，使同學們透過閱讀擁抱內心平靜。學校同時安排攤位遊戲，透過趣味互動增進師生交流。參與所有活動的同學，更可參與大抽獎，贏取精美禮物。

Mental Health Week
HHCKLA Buddhist Leung Chik Wai College (Peace School 2024-2025)

🤍 To foster a positive school environment and holistic well-being, Mental Health Week was held for F.1 to F.4 students, including activities like archery tag, terrarium crafting, and dessert making. This eased tension and created a relaxing atmosphere.

🧘 Mental health talks, mindful walking, eye exercises, and interactive game booths were featured. Mindful walking encouraged focusing on each step and embracing the present, while the library’s “Mindful Reading Corner” showcased books that inspired inner peace, such as The Courage to Be Disliked. Meanwhile, vibrant interactive booths strengthened teacher-student bonds, and those who took part in every activity had the chance to win special prizes.

🌿 The week refreshed minds and bodies, filling the campus with positive energy, and nurtured a caring, harmonious community.
