Architectural Conservation Association, AS, HKUSU We are Fabricity, the Architectural Conservation Association, Architectural Society, HKUSU, Session 2019-2020.

Through this page, we hope to contribute to the development of architectural conservation in Hong Kong and beyond, and to promote sustainable urban development through heritage conservation to HKU and society at large. The name of our Session is a combination of “fabric” and “city”. Fabric is cloth produced by weaving and knitting textile fibres. It symbolizes the objectives proposed by o

ur Session, which is to foster close relationship and connections between students in the Association and staff members in Architectural Conservation Programmes in HKU, in order to strive for excellence. “Urban fabric” is terminology used to describe the characteristics of the built environment and the interconnections within a city. This reflects the belief of our Session: To contribute to the development of our city through outreaching to different parties of the school and members of the public by involving them in discussing the topic of architectural conservation. We hope that with our united work in the Association, we can identify the elements that shape the uniqueness of our city and take a closer step towards city-wide heritage conservation.
