【AFS CHINA x AFS HONG KONG】Summer Program 2026 on Leadership and Sustainability 🤝

From August 2 to 8, AFS China led a group of 30 students on a summer exchange program in Hong Kong. Centered around the theme of "LEADERSHIP AND SUSTAINABILITY," the program arranged for students to visit key institutions, including the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Through specialized workshops and urban exploration, students gained a multi-faceted understanding of the operational mechanisms behind Hong Kong’s public affairs, while guided workshops helped foster their perspective on sustainable development.
At the same time, AFS Hong Kong organized visits to cultural and creative landmarks, PMQ, Tai Kwun—Center for Heritage and Arts, and Che Kung Temple,etc., allowing students to observe and experience Hong Kong’s diverse character across different cultural spaces. 👍

Be a Global Citizen! 🌍
AFS Hong Kong specifically arranged a 6-hour interactive Global Citizenship Education (GCE) learning session, guiding students to deepen their understanding of global issues (SDGs). We also arranged guided tours to kNOw Carbon House, Black Point Power Station, and T·PARK, encouraging students to further enhance their awareness and critical thinking regarding public sustainability and technological innovation. 😉

8 月 2 日至 8 日，AFS CHINA 與 30 位學生赴香港進行暑假交流。是次活動以「LEADERSHIP AND SUSTAINABILTY」為主軸，安排學生走進香港立法會、金融管理局及香港中文大學等機構，透過專題工作坊與城市考察，從多方面向理解香港公共事務的運作機制，並以工作坊引導學生培養可持續發展視野。同時，AFS香港亦安排學生參觀文創地標 PMQ 元創方，並到訪藝術及歷史文化「大館」、車公廟等，讓學生能在不同文化場域中觀察與體會香港的多元樣貌。👍

成為全球公民! 🌍
AFS 香港特別安排了6小時的「全球公民教育」(GCE) 互動式學習，引導學生對全球議題(聯合國永續發展目標 SDGs)建立更深入的認識。我們亦安排了導覽參觀「識碳館」(kNOw Carbon House)、龍鼓灘發電廠及「源·區」(T·PARK)，鼓勵學生進一步提升對公共永續發展與科技創新的關注及批判性思考。😉

【接待家庭故事🌎AFS讓家庭連繫世界】

你以為「四海一家」只係一句口號？其實，任何人都可以成為其中一塊拼圖——由自己親手參與同一起組織，慢慢編織出一張屬於自己嘅「家庭網」。

AFS 海外交流計劃最動人的核心精神，就係以交流作為起點：旅程開始時，只係一句「你好」。但當大家願意用時間、用關心、用真情去回應彼此，距離就會慢慢縮短；關係就會悄悄生長，並且延續到日後每一個重要時刻。

就以 Grace 故事為例：由佢哋成為接待家庭開始，緣分就由近一步步伸延——連結起冰島、加拿大、同埋美國嘅家人情誼。三國人、三個地方、唔同時間相遇，最後竟然可以用「家人」嘅身份相聚：一起分享生活、分享喜悅，亦一齊把多元文化嘅溫度傳承落去，變成一份會一直發光嘅牽掛。

【Czechia Summer Exchange 2026】Days 5–7 Recap✈️
Leaving behind the urban bustle of central Prague, the students embarked on a journey to explore the surrounding historic towns and scenic destinations.📸🥰

🧭Czech Railways & Tábor
The students began with an exclusive presentation by Czech Railways, learning how the train network connects cities, supports tourism, and facilitates daily travel for work and study. The highlight of the experience was visiting the control panel for a firsthand look at the precision technology keeping the system running smoothly. They also discovered how trains have shaped the country’s history and development, making their upcoming journey to the historic city of Tábor feel even more meaningful.

🧭Exploring Kutná Hora
The group spent the day in Kutná Hora, a UNESCO World Heritage town famous for its rich silver mining history. The visit included a trip to the Museum of Silver, an authentic tour of a historic underground mine, and a stop at the iconic St. Barbara's Cathedral.

🧭Harrachov
On the longest drive of the trip, the team headed to Harrachov in the Krkonoše Mountains—the highest range in the Czech Republic. Famous for its glassmaking heritage, the town gave students an up-close look at the craft as they explored the Museum of Glass and saw expert artisans in action at an active glass factory. Afterward, they enjoyed a scenic walk to the Mumlava Waterfalls.
