Sport is JOY...joy is sport!
Today was one of those days that reminds you just how powerful sport can be.
This afternoon, around 30 Hong Kong high school students came together for the rugby module of EmpowerU PowerThru program, a new summer course designed to help young people discover not only a new sport, but new career pathways and also, themselves.
Through movement, teamwork and shared experiences, students explored communication, leadership, resilience, and the confidence that comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.
It wasn’t about creating the next professional athlete.
It was about showing young people that the lessons learned on a field, working as a team, supporting one another, communicating under pressure, bouncing back from setbacks, and enjoying the moment are the very same skills that will serve them throughout life.
A huge thank you to the incredible team who made today possible.
