French May 法國五月 Established in 1993, French May is one of the largest cultural events in Asia.

With more than 120 programmes presented across two months, it has become an iconic part of Hong Kong’s cultural scene that attracts approximately 2 million visitors each year. The objectives of French May are to touch everything, to be everywhere and for everyone. To touch everything by showcasing the most diversified art forms: from heritage and contemporary arts, paintings and design, to classic

al music and hip-hop dance, cinema and new circus. To be everywhere by bringing performances to various venues and districts, including the unusual and unexpected: from cultural centres and shopping malls, to public spaces, the racecourse and Victoria Harbour. For everyone because the Festival aims to reach out to the entire community by developing educational programmes, talks, guided tours, workshops and masterclasses, including those that directly benefit the young and less-privileged. For 29 years, French May has been both truly international and distinctly local and wishes to contribute to the unique appeal of Asia’s World City. French May received the “Gold Award for Arts Promotion 2008” from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

1993年首辦的法國五月藝術節，是亞洲最大型的文化盛事之一。每年五至六月，法國五月均會於兩個月內舉辦超過120場文化活動，吸引逾一百萬人參與；在文化藝術發展蓬勃的香港，法國五月藝術節已是一項年度主要盛事。法國五月藝術節的目標是無所不包、無處不在、無眾不歡。

法國五月無所不包，展現最紛繁的藝術種類，從傳統到當代藝術、從繪畫到設計、從古典音樂到嘻哈街舞，從電影到馬戲，為觀眾搜羅最優秀的作品。

法國五月無處不在，將表演及展覽帶到不同地區與場所，從文化中心及大型商場、從公共空間到馬場以至維港等等，進駐最不尋常、最令人意想不到的地方。

法國五月無眾不歡，透過外展教育計劃、座談會、導賞團、工作坊及大師班，觸及不同社群，惠及年輕人及弱勢群體。

29年來，法國五月藝術節立足本地、放眼國際，配合香港的城市歷史及定位，為作為亞洲國際都會的香港，增添璀璨魅力。

2008年，香港藝術發展局頒發「藝術推廣獎」金獎予法國五月藝術節，表揚法國五月的藝術活動推廣成績。

《香港賽馬會呈獻系列：邂逅蒙娜麗莎 · 文藝復興的再現》將帶來一連兩集的「與策展人對話」系列短片。第二集我們邀請到重量級嘉賓——羅浮宮博物館十六世紀意大利繪畫首席策展人 Vincent Delieuvin，他同時也是這次《邂逅蒙娜麗莎》沉浸式互動展覽的策展人。

🔥Baco Lepage-Acosta

Baco Lepage-Acosta 的人生軌跡多元而不拘一格。作為一位跨性別／非二元的多領域創作者，他們既是居家的藝術家，也熱愛走向舞台展現自我，樂於混合並突破界限。雖然本質上是個慢步者，但也能加快步伐，他們的創作抵抗線性時間的框架。現居於蒙特婁，自 2021年起參與 Clara Furey 的作品《犬影升騰》；並與 Emile Pineault 合作其新作《最底層》（2026）；在 Nien Tzu Weng 的投影作品《｛光（陰 | 影）｝之∞》（2025）中參與創作；與 Be Heintzman Hope 合作表演錄像系列 Poetics to Activate the Technology of the Body（2020–2023）；並在 Jimmy Gonzalez Palacios 與 Erika Nguyen 的計劃《動態景觀》（2020–2021）中展現雜耍技巧。

Baco 於 2019 年自魁北克馬戲學校畢業，主修雜耍，並接受雙人技巧與特技單車訓練。他們的雜耍實踐不追求數字表演，而是逐步形成對雜耍的獨特理解：身體與物件、空間、聲音與光線之間的關係。

Baco's life path is all over the place. In the genre of trans/non-binary multidisciplinary homebody that loves to come out and play, they live to mix it up. A slow walker at heart, although they can speed up, they work in resistance to linear time. Now based in Tio:tiá:ke/Mooniyang, they perform in Clara Furey’s show Dog Rising since 2021; research, dance and collaborate with Emile Pineault on his new creation Bottommost (2026); worked with projection for Nien Tzu Weng on《{光 (陰 | 影)}之∞》— [guāng yīn] : the lightest dark is darker than the darkest light (2025), collaborated on the performance video series Poetics to Activate the Technology of the Body with Be Heintzman Hope (2020-2023), juggled on Jimmy Gonzalez Palacios and Erika Nguyen’s project Paysages Dynamiques (2020-2021).

Baco graduated as a juggler from the Quebec Circus School in 2019 where they also trained in hand to hand and acrobatic bike. Their juggling practice is based on building playgrounds, problem solving, assembling and transforming space. Never interested in the numbers they are growing into their own perception of what juggling is : a body in relation to objects, space, sounds and lights.

🔥Brian Mendez

來自並現居於蒙特婁的 Brian Mendez，自幼便對舞蹈藝術懷有濃厚興趣，最初接受的是都市舞蹈訓練。20 歲時，他於 Urban-Element Zone 舞蹈工作室（2013）開始學習嘻哈、甩手舞與舞廳音樂。隨後，他於Collège Montmorency 完成了當代舞的預科課程（2014–2016），並於蒙特婁當代舞蹈學院接受專業訓練（2016–2019）。

在蒙特婁當代舞蹈學院學習期間，Brian 接觸到源自紐約哈林區，由拉丁裔與非裔美國 LGBTQ+ 社群所創立的舞蹈風格時裝舞。這種舞蹈成為他重要的表達方式，凝聚並連結整個社群。於 EDCM 就讀時，他曾與 Kyra Jean Green、Edgar Zendejas、Darryl Tracy、Catherine Tardif、Virginie Brunelle、Iker Arrue 及 Marie Béland 合作。

自蒙特婁當代舞蹈學院畢業後，Brian 持續深入研究時裝舞與其文化，並致力於在蒙特婁推廣。他曾參與 Clara Furey 的作品《犬影升騰》，這是一部耐力型舞作，透過重複動作探索原始衝動、不協和、齊奏與多聲振動。

Originally from and living in Montreal, Brian Mendez has always had an interest in the art of dance and it was first in urban dance that he began his training. At 20, he attended the Urban-Element Zone dance studio (2013) where he took classes in Hip-hop, Waacking and Dancehall. A little later, he did a pre-university program in contemporary dance at Collège Montmorency (2014-2016), before beginning his training at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (2016-2019).

It was during his studies at EDCM that Brian discovered Voguing, a style born in Harlem, New York by the Latin American and African American LGBTQ+ community. This dance becomes for him a form of expression that brings together an entire community. At EDCM, Brian had the chance to collaborate with Kyra Jean Green, Edgar Zendejas, Darryl Tracy, Catherine Tardif, Virginie Brunelle, Iker Arrue and Marie Béland.

A graduate of EDCM, Brian continues his education on Voguing and its culture in order to share it in Montreal. He dances notably in Dog Rising by Clara Furey, an endurance piece that uses repetition to explore primitive impulses, dissonance, unison and polyphonic vibration.

Dr Isabelle Frank, an art historian of the Italian Renaissance, will discuss the originality of the Mona Lisa, and how it breaks the mould of late 15th-century and early 16th-century female portraiture, with its forms, positioning, painting techniques, and psychological insight.

🔥Justin De Luna

來自大多倫多地區的 Justin de Luna（he/him/il），是一位酷兒千禧世代，目前居住並工作於蒙特婁。作為舞者與藝術家，他將自身的創作視為對生命力、思考與探究的個人投資，專注於探索他在不同脈絡中所觀察到的交叉點。這些探索透過創作、合作、詮釋、編舞與策展等多種形式展現。 他近期的重要活動包括：擔任 Hanako Hoshimi Caines、Elisa Harkins 與 Zoë Poluch 共同創作的 Radio III / ᎦᏬᏂᏍᎩ KT 排練指導；與 Winnie Ho 合作，作為 Andrew Tay 與 Stephen Thompson 作品《Make Banana Cry》第二部分的一環，於2022 年蒙特婁跨美洲藝術節演出；以及在 2022 年 5 月於 La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines 首演 Simon Portigal 的《Fragile & Useless - lcr.i/group/ 2019-2022》，並以合奏團成員身份登台。

Hailing from the Greater Toronto Area, Justin de Luna (he/him/il) is a q***r millennial, currently residing and working in tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang, also known as Montréal. Dancer and artist, he treats his practice as personal investments of his own vitality, thinking and inquiry towards the investigation of the intersections he notices are present in context. These have been expressed within the avenues of making, collaborating, interpreting, choreographing and curating. His most recent activities include: rehearsal direction for Radio III / ᎦᏬᏂᏍᎩ KT by Hanako Hoshimi Caines, Elisa Harkins & Zoë Poluch, a co-creation with Winnie Ho as Part 2 of Make Banana Cry by Andrew Tay & Stephen Thompson for the Festival TransAmériques 2022, and premiering Fragile & Useless - lcr.i/group/ 2019-2022 by Simon Portigal at La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines in May 2022 as an ensemble member.

🍽️ French May Arts Festival Fundraising Dinner - Juste Encore un Soir

A spectacular Renaissance-inspired fundraising dinner was held at Ami, Central with MICHELIN-starred chefs on June 3, 2026, marking an unforgettable evening of art and gastronomy. We extend our deepest gratitude to our hosts and long-term supporters, Mrs. Michelle Ma Chan, Mrs. Catherine Kwai, and Mr. Edward Fung. The evening was further honored by the presence and support of Mrs. Christile Drulhe (Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau) and Ms. Pansy Ho (Co-Chairman of French May Arts Festival).

Echoing our festival theme Re/naissance, three distinct culinary masters—Mr. Edward Fung, Chef Nicolas Boutin, and Chef Aven Lau—joined forces for a unique collaboration. Turning the dining tables into their canvases, they masterfully mapped out an elevated, ultimate level of gastronomy art. 🎨

The evening successfully raised HKD 600,000 to support French May’s cultural programmes and exchanges, continuing to strengthen Hong Kong’s role as a vibrant hub for international artistic collaboration.
