香港規劃師學會大獎 2025/26 結果出爐了！

今年共有15個項目得獎項目，包括1個金獎、5個銀獎、8個銅獎、和1個優異獎，當中包括自周年大獎設立而來的第一個金獎。

得獎項目充分展示周全、創新、具前瞻性的規劃意念如何融入社區，為城市注入活力。這些項目不僅彰顯城市規劃的價值，惠及市民大眾，更為同類項目立下卓越典範。

【The Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) Awards 2025/26】

The result of Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) Awards 2025/26 is out!

This year, a total of 15 projects are selected for HKIP Awards, including one project for Gold Award, five projects for Silver Award, eight for Bronze Award and one for Certificate of Merit, featuring the very first Gold Award since the introduction of the HKIP Awards.

The awarded projects have demonstrated how comprehensive, creative and pioneering planning concepts can blend with local communities to bring vibrant life to the city. By highlighting the value of town planning and benefiting members of the public, they serve as excellent exemplars of other similar endeavours.

To showcase the projects of high caliber to the general public, an array of publicity events will be organised. Stay tuned!

【HKIP and ITPI Sign MoU – Strengthening Global Planning Connections】

We are delighted to announce that the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) and the Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 23 July 2026.

This landmark agreement marks HKIP’s 10th international partnership, representing an important milestone in our journey to strengthen global professional collaboration and engagement. It reflects HKIP’s continued commitment to fostering meaningful connections with planning professionals around the world and expanding opportunities for our members on the international stage.

Through this new partnership, HKIP and ITPI will work together to promote professional exchange, knowledge sharing, capacity building, research collaboration, and joint initiatives that address the challenges and opportunities facing cities and communities today.

As planners, we share a common vision of creating more liveable, sustainable, resilient, and inclusive places. By bringing together expertise and experience from Hong Kong and India, we look forward to building a vibrant and mutually beneficial partnership that will inspire innovation, enrich professional development, and contribute to better urban futures.

【HKIP x MIP Joint Webinar - Urban Renewal Lessons from Hong Kong and Malaysia】

Last weekend, we were pleased to welcome over 300 participants to our successful webinar on urban renewal co-organised by the HKIP External Affairs Committee and Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP).

We were privileged to have two guest speakers, Ar. Donald Choi Wun Hing, BBS, JP (Managing Director of Urban Renewal Authority) and Dr. Khairul Nizam Othman (Chief Executive Officer of Kampong Bharu Development Corporation), shared valuable insights into the urban regeneration practices in Hong Kong and Malaysia, offering participants a deeper understanding of how to effectively implement the renewal projects while fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

The session sparked lively and fruitful discussion among participants from Hong Kong, Malaysia and other regions through our sister institutes, promoting cross-border knowledge exchange on delivering sustainable urban transformation in rapidly growing cities.

A big thank you to our guest speakers and to every participant who joined us! We look forward to more opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the future!

【Friends of HKIP: Urban Futures Workshop Series #2 – Planning for a Climate-Resilient Hong Kong】

Date: 30 May 2026 (Saturday) | Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Venue: HKIP Office, North Point

Following the success of our first workshop in March, which focused on fundamental planning knowledge, this second session will build upon that foundation by exploring practical approaches to climate-resilient planning.

👥 The workshop will bring together professional planners and Friends of HKIP from diverse backgrounds to:
• Examine climate risks and planning considerations in Hong Kong
• Identify vulnerabilities among different community groups
• Translate individual experiences into generalised planning solutions
• Review overseas case studies and derive recommendations for Hong Kong

The workshop will be facilitated by members of the HKIP Task Force on Sustainability and Climate Change, established in 2021 to enhance awareness of climate-resilient planning and foster collaboration with NGOs and professional bodies.

【RTPI x HKIP Joint Webinar - Healthy Cities and Communities: Learning Planning Practice in the UK and Hong Kong】

A big thank you to everyone who joined us from across different regions for our recent webinar on healthy cities and communities jointly organised by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Yorkshire and the HKIP External Affairs Committee.

We are especially grateful to host three outstanding guest speakers, Mr. Michael Chang, Dr. Ning Fan and Ms. Marissa Chizum, who shared valuable insights from both public health and planning perspectives. From evidence-based healthy planning policies to practical implementation, the discussion was truly fruitful and inspiring, highlighting how planning and public health can work hand in hand to shape healthier cities.

It was encouraging to see town planners from different regions actively engaging, exchanging knowledge, and learning from one another’s experiences.

Let’s keep the momentum going! We look forward to continuing thought-provoking discussions and strengthen collaboration within the planning community to create healthier, more liveable environments for all.

What an amazing night! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who joined the Happy Hour Networking Evening & Friends of HKIP 2026 Ceremony. Special thanks to our President Theresa Yeung for her inspiring speech marking the launch of the Friends of HKIP 2026 programme.

It was truly rewarding to see experienced planners exchanging ideas with younger members and Friends eager to join the planning profession. A fruitful evening of networking, collaboration, and celebration!

【HKIP x IAP Joint Webinar - Transformations for Tomorrow: Hong Kong's Northern Metropolis Meets Indonesia's Nusantara (New Capital City)】

The HKIP External Affairs Committee, in collaboration with Indonesian Association of Urban & Regional Planners (IAP), successfully hosted a joint webinar on 22 April titled “Transformations for Tomorrow: Hong Kong’s Northern Metropolis Meets Indonesia’s Nusantara (New Capital City)”.

We were privileged to welcome two guest speakers, Mr. Mirwansyah Prawiranegara, Director for Micro Planning, Nusantara Capital City Authority and Mr. Anthony Luk, Deputy Director of Planning/Territorial, Planning Department, HKSAR Government to share the visions and latest developments of Indonesia’s new capital, Nusantara and Hong Kong’s Northern Metropolis. Their insightful sharing sparked thoughtful ideas and fruitful discussion among participants.

With over 400 professionals and friends joining from Hong Kong, Indonesia, and other overseas regions such as Singapore, Vietnam and Japan, the webinar provided a great platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative learning on the evolving urban paradigms.

【香港規劃師學會與廣東省工程師學會簽署資格互認框架意向書】

（香港，2026年4月16日）——廣東省科學技術協會率團訪問香港規劃師學會，進一步加強粵港專業交流合作。訪問期間，香港規劃師學會會長楊詠珊女士與廣東省工程師學會執行會長劉桂雄教授分別代表兩會，正式簽署《資格互認框架意向書》，標誌着粵港兩地在規劃專業資格互認合作方面邁出重要一步。

是次簽署旨在進一步深化兩地規劃專業交流與合作，推動規劃師在粵港澳大灣區內更順暢的專業流動，並為下一階段開展「粵港澳大灣區港澳城鄉規劃人才職稱評價」工作奠定堅實基礎，並有望在今年5月份開展相關工作。

簽署儀式獲粵港兩地多位相關機構代表蒞臨見證，包括廣東省科學技術協會黨組書記、專職副主席成洪波先生、廣東省國土空間規劃協會常務副會長兼秘書長田中先生、香港特別行政區政府發展局助理秘書長李明斌先生，以及香港規劃師學會前會長李建華先生、張綺薇女士和副會長樂晗寧女士。

簽署儀式後，雙方代表就框架意向書的落實安排及後續推進方向進行深入交流，務求加快落實框架內容。

《資格互認框架意向書》的簽署，對深化粵港澳大灣區工程及規劃領域的專業協作具有重要里程碑意義，將有助促進香港與內地規劃專業人才的銜接，融入國家發展大局。
