-The Council of YMCAs of Hong Kong-
The Council of YMCAs of Hong Kong was formulated in 1961 with a purpose similar to that of the World Alliance of YMCAs and with objectives to act as a coordinating committee for the activities of the two constituent YMCAs, the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong and the YMCA of Hong Kong, and to be the body affiliated with the World Alliance of YMCAs and Asia & Pacific Al
liance of YMCAs, thus responsible for fostering growth of the YMCA movement in Hong Kong and encouraging growth throughout the region and world by participating in international YMCA affairs. Now, over 50 years after this formal formulation of the Council, it can be said that the Council of YMCAs of Hong Kong has matured to be a responsible and well-respected member of the World Alliance and Asia & Pacific Alliance of YMCAs.
