A Saturday Evening of Firsts, Compassion, and Youth Leadership

This past Saturday evening marked a truly extraordinary milestone for Sunshine Action. For the first time in our history, a dedicated team of students from King George V School 英基英皇佐治五世學校 (KGV, ESF) selflessly contributed their own pocket money to prepare warm, home-cooked meals for Hong Kong’s street-sleepers and homeless community. Their generosity, born not from obligation but from genuine empathy, speaks volumes about the character of this next generation.

🌟 A special tribute must be made to Abigail, a student from the Christian International School 基督教國際學校 (CIS), who crafted an exceptional and thoughtfully researched booklet—an invaluable resource compiling key organisations and support networks for Hong Kong’s homeless population. Her work elevates creativity in CAS to a profoundly meaningful level, blending design with civic purpose.

🌟 Adding to the evening’s significance, the KGV 英皇佐治五世學校 turnout was the largest I have ever witnessed from the school. Moreover, nine Sunshine Summer Interns from Fordham University 福特漢姆大學 and New York University 紐約大學—all based in the United States—commenced their service this week with Sunshine Action US, further strengthening our transcontinental mission. These remarkable young leaders hail from an impressive array of institutions:

我哋好榮幸接待咗拔萃男書院 IB 統籌主任Kate，以及CAS統籌主任 Julice 同 Ocean。成個DBS IB團隊而家齊集「耀陽行動」，同一眾曾經喺母校同「耀陽行動」跟隨老師學習嘅舊生重聚。我們合作多年，是香港所有學校中規模最大、實力最強的團隊。

🌟 *Diocesan Boys' School 拔萃男書院*（DBS）係公認最頂尖同最有聲望嘅中學之一。作為一間Band 1嘅基督教學校，佢深受家長追捧，收生率極嚴謹，低於百分之八，經常被比喻為美國常春藤大學嘅入學門檻。

🌟 IB教育嘅全球領導者：同聖保羅男女中學並駕齊驅，DBS喺國際文憑（IB）排名中長期佔據主導地位。學校經常考獲平均41至42分嘅優異IBDP成績，更曾經位列全球最佳IB學校之一。著名校友包括孫中山先生。

今個星期，呢啲努力仲得到來自香港加拿大國際學校、南島中學、島嶼學校、西島中學、啟曆學校、拔萃男書院、沙田學院等多間學校嘅學生，以及香港大學碩士實習生嘅支持，將「耀陽福袋」捐贈畀近十間慈善機構、學校同中心。

SUNSHINE ACTION 耀陽行動 ✨ Diocesan Boys' School 拔萃男書院 (DBS)

We are honored to have received a visit from the DBS IB Coordinator, Kate, along with CAS Coordinators Julice and Ocean, at Sunshine Action. The entire DBS IB team is currently present at Sunshine Action, where they have reunited with numerous DBS alumni—former students who once attended both the school and Sunshine Action alongside their teachers.

Diocesan Boys' School (DBS) 拔萃男書院 is widely regarded as one of the most exceptional and prestigious secondary schools in Hong Kong. As a Band 1 Christian institution, it is highly sought after by parents and maintains an extraordinarily selective acceptance rate of under 8%, drawing frequent comparisons to the admissions standards of Ivy League universities in the United States.

A Global Leader in IB Education: Alongside St. Paul's Co-educational College, DBS consistently dominates the International Baccalaureate rankings in Hong Kong. The school regularly achieves an outstanding average IBDP score of 41 to 42 points, and has on occasion ranked as the top-performing IB school in the world. Notable alumni include Dr. Sun Yat-sen.

This week, these efforts have been further supported by students from Canadian International School, South Island School, Island School, West Island School, Discovery College, DBS Diocesan Boys' School, Shatin College, among others, as well as master's degree interns from the University of Hong Kong, donated to nearly 10 charity organizations, schools and centers with the 550 Sunshine Bags.

☀️ SUNSHINE ACTIO耀陽行動 has been supervising the Master Degree interns from the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Public Health since 9️⃣ years ago and this is back in 2021.

🩺 Dr. Aderonke Odetayo Ronke is one of the new interns sent by the University of Hong Kong 香港大學–Master Degree in Public Health 公共衛生碩士 to assist me on research and update info about the COVID-19 outbreak in the coming months. She is the first Dr joining the Sunshine Ambassadors team and is responsible to design the Sunshine Summer Internship program related to Medicine.

In 18 years, this nano-organization has done programs and donated to over 1,090 organization in 28 countries & special admin. regions, beneficiating some 480’000 people worldwide

Since the creation, Sunny Mak, the founder of Sunshine Action, single-handedly created, planned and managed approximately 98% or more of the organization’s administrative and coordinative functions. For many years, he was best known as a veritable “one-man band,” operating entirely alone in Hong Kong. In this capacity, he not only administered the organization but also conceived and executed every program—tasks for which volunteers, interns, and students would later join, though solely within the frameworks he had already designed and implemented.

In 2026 & 2027, we are looking for:

✨ New Partners for Sunshine Action in Hong Kong, covering the entire Asia. The question is: what can you do for Sunshine Action.
✨✨ Core-members: capable to engage new partners and develop new programs.
✨✨✨ 3,000 godsons who could help to expand globally in the coming decade.

Remarkably, Sunny also belongs to an exceedingly rare echelon of philanthropists who have donated different resources and food to more than 1,000 charitable centers and humanitarian organizations worldwide—a milestone he achieved in August 2025. According to available records, fewer than ten individuals are known to have reached this distinguished level of philanthropic engagement across a global population exceeding 8.3 billion, a figure that excludes institutional foundations.

下個月，我哋將會迎來「Sunshine Action耀陽行動」成立十八周年嘅重要日子……至今，本機構已向全球 1,090 間慈善中心及人道組織作出捐贈。只需再多十間，我哋就能夠達成 1,100 間嘅新里程碑。

十八年以來，呢個「納米級」組織曾經推行各項計劃，並向遍及 28 個國家及特別行政區嘅超過 1,090 間機構提供捐贈，惠及全球約 48 萬人。

自創立之初，創辦人麥耀陽 Sunny 一直獨力策劃、統籌及管理本機構大約九成八或以上嘅行政與協調職能。多年來，佢被公認為名副其實嘅「一人樂隊」——喺香港完全獨力運作。喺呢個角色之下，佢唔單止管理機構，更親自構思並執行每一項計劃。後來義工、實習生及學生雖然加入協助，但始終係喺佢已經設計同落實好嘅框架內運作。

值得一提嘅係，Sunny同時屬於極之罕見嘅慈善家行列——佢曾經向全球超過 1,000 間慈善中心及人道組織捐贈各類物資及糧食，呢個里程碑喺 2025 年 8 月經已達成。根據現有紀錄，喺全球超過 83 億人口之中，唔計機構基金會，只有唔夠十個人能夠達到呢個層次嘅善舉規模，可見其難能可貴。

前輝達員工爆料：

跟黃仁勳工作，像把手插進插座。

很多人只看到輝達的成功，
卻很少人看見，成功背後那種近乎殘酷的效率。

前輝達員工曾形容：
跟黃仁勳工作，感覺就像「把手插進插座」。
因為你不能拖、不能亂、不能講廢話。

在輝達，連 Email 都有一種可怕的標準：
信件最好不要超過 6 行。

不是因為黃仁勳沒耐心，
而是因為他太清楚一件事：

真正厲害的人，最珍惜的不是錢，
而是時間。

一封信寫太長，
代表你還沒想清楚重點。

一件事講不清楚，
代表你還沒抓到核心。

一個團隊溝通太慢，
最後損失的不是幾分鐘，
而是整間公司的速度。

所以黃仁勳要的不是「看起來很努力」的人，
而是能夠快速抓重點、快速行動、快速解決問題的人。

這也是為什麼輝達能在 AI 時代跑得那麼快。
因為他們不是每天開一堆會議、寫一堆報告、講一堆漂亮話。

他們做的是：
把複雜的事情講簡單，
把重要的事情排前面，
把該做的事情立刻做。

很多人失敗，不是因為不努力。
而是努力了很久，還在做不重要的事。

每天很忙，卻沒有結果。
每天很累，卻沒有進步。
每天回了很多訊息，開了很多會，
最後卻不知道自己真正推進了什麼。

真正的高手，從來不是把事情變複雜。
而是能在一堆混亂裡，抓住最重要的那一點。

你會發現，越成功的人，越簡單。
講話簡單，做事直接，目標清楚。
不浪費別人的時間，也不允許別人浪費自己的時間。

所以今天這句話，真的值得記住：

你的人生想要變快，
先把你的溝通變短。

少一點廢話，
多一點重點。

少一點拖延，
多一點行動。

少一點自我感動，
多一點真正結果。

因為這個世界，從來不獎勵「看起來很忙」的人。
它只獎勵那些——
清楚知道自己要什麼，並且立刻去做的人。

During the initial four and a half months of 2026, a series of impactful Sunshine Bag packing events were graciously hosted by the following distinguished global institutions. These initiatives were brilliantly organised by students on each campus, and the resulting bags were compassionately donated to various local charities.

🌟 SUNSHINE ACTION UK 英國耀陽行動 - University of Oxford 牛津大學
The Sunshine Chari-thon : 3rd of May 2026

We extend our deepest gratitude to the "Oxford Sunshine Ambassador", and to one of my most cherished godsons, Anthony, for his instrumental role in organizing the packing and donation of the Sunshine Bags at the University of Oxford. Our sincere thanks go as well to the dedicated student volunteers from Oxford, who joined hands in this meaningful endeavor.

✨ The University of Oxford 牛津大學 is widely considered one of the best universities in the world, consistently holding the #1️ spot in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for a record ten consecutive years as of 2026. It is the oldest university in the English-speaking world.

✨Oxford University has produced numerous world-renowned alumni, including over 3️0 British Prime Ministers (e.g., Margaret Thatcher, Boris Johnson), 42nd U.S. President Bill Clinton, and influential figures such as Stephen Hawking, J.R.R. Tolkien, Oscar Wilde, and Malala Yousafzai.

🇭🇰 In Hong Kong, another group of VIP volunteers and students distributed the Sunshine Bags through Yan Chai Hospital and Residence, including the victims of Taipo Fire.
