🌟 Exciting Highlights from ”The Way We Care“ Soft Skills Workshop! 🌟
At the heart of this Continuing Personal Development programme stands The Rock Foundation, a dedicated NGO founded in 2009 with a clear mission: to empower youths with special educational needs (SEN) and diverse abilities by bridging the gap in post-secondary social integration. Through job placements, lifelong learning, and community-building initiatives, The Rock Foundation fosters a community of hope, harmony, and mutuality—enabling every individual to reveal their unique gifts and talents in an environment of love, respect, and synergy.
We proudly kicked off our innovative program with Group 1, partnering with SDB Ng Siu Mui Secondary School and hosted by City Facilities Management (HKG) Limited. Youths aged 15-19 from diverse backgrounds dove into 240 minutes of theory + practice training, exploring personal qualities, communication skills, interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and systems thinking.
From engaging setups and introductions to fun games challenges, cheering for Kin Sir, group discussions on 7 care groups (family, friends, classmates, colleagues, community, environment, pets), and inspiring presentations – it was a day full of growth and connection! The conclusion? True care comes from heart-to-heart interactions, observation, and empathy.
A huge thank you to City Facilities Management (HKG) Limited for sponsoring this soft skills training! As the first of 5 groups in our series, your support is making a real tripartite benefit for students, workplaces, and the community—perfectly aligning with The Rock Foundation’s intention to embrace diversity and create lasting societal impact.
