【OCC HK – An evening with Champagne Jules Brochet on 24/06/25】
This is an intimate evening with Champagne Jules Brochet from the village of Taissy, south of Reims. Pierre Brochet is the 4th generation from a family of winemakers. He spent time with Jacques Selosse after attaining his degree in oenology where he learned much more than he did in school. Selosse taught him to focus on terroir for each grape, and to use different wine making techniques to bring out the best in a plot. His domaine – started in 2019, is named after his great grandfather. He has a total of 4.5 hA of vines in Taissy, Mailly, Ay, Rilly la Montagne and Barzy sur Marne – all of which he farms organically, with the philosophy of ‘lutte raisonnée’, in search of the right balance with the environment. Long barrel ageing on the lees with minimal intervention are two hallmarks of his champagnes. From the Cellars of Champagne Jules Brochet (and family).
