Condolence Message from OMEP-Hong Kong
With profound sadness, OMEP-Hong Kong mourns the passing of our beloved past President and highly respected leader in early childhood education, Dr. Maggie Koong.
Dr. Koong dedicated her life to advancing the rights, well-being, and happiness of young children in Hong Kong and around the world. Her visionary leadership, unwavering commitment, and genuine care inspired generations of educators, supervisors, teachers, and families. As a driving force in local early childhood education, she made lasting contributions to the field, continually advocating for high-quality, inclusive, and holistic learning environments for every child.
Beyond her local achievements, Dr. Koong also made an indelible mark internationally. She served as World President of OMEP and was appointed Honorary Member of World OMEP in 2023, bringing pride to Hong Kong and championing the rights of children on the global stage. Her far-reaching impact lives on in every classroom and every young life she touched.
We are deeply grateful for Dr. Koong’s wisdom, generosity, and support. She leaves a precious legacy of dignity, creativity, and transformation for all children. Her spirit will continue to guide us as we honour her mission and vision.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Koong’s family, friends, and all who grieve her passing. Though she is gone, her influence and love will remain in our hearts forever.

香港OMEP致孔美琪博士的悼念辭
我們懷著無比沉痛的心情，悼念我們摯愛的前任會長，以及備受尊敬的幼兒教育領袖——孔美琪博士的離世。
孔博士一生致力推動香港及全球幼兒的權益、福祉與快樂。她具遠見的領導力、不懈的承擔和真誠的關懷，啟發了一代又一代的教育工作者、督導、教師和家庭。作為本地幼兒教育的重要推動者，她為香港幼兒教育及照顧事業作出了深遠貢獻，積極倡議為每一位兒童提供高質素、共融和全人發展的學習環境。
除了本地的貢獻外，孔博士亦活躍於國際舞台，曾任OMEP世界總會會長，並於2023年獲頒世界OMEP榮譽會員，為香港爭光。她一直致力推動全球兒童權利，其深遠的影響力將長存於每一間課室、每一顆幼小心靈之中。
我們衷心感激孔博士的智慧、慷慨與支持。她為所有兒童留下尊嚴、創意和改變的寶貴遺產。她的精神將繼續指引我們，讓我們在她的啟發下，堅守使命。
謹向孔博士的家人、朋友及所有懷念她的人致以最深切的慰問。她雖然離世，但她的影響力和愛心將永遠留在我們心中。
