What a way to close out the first half of 2026. 🥂

Last Monday, our June Monthly Happy Hour at the New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui brought together MAYCHAM members for an evening of great company, meaningful conversations, and truly wonderful hospitality.

A heartfelt thank you to Dato KC Gan for the incredibly generous food spread that made the evening extra special. 🙏 We also extend our sincere appreciation to Grace Cup Group for sponsoring the nyonya kueh, siew pau, and crumbed prawn cutlets that had everyone thoroughly impressed.

Midway through the evening, a Black Rainstorm Warning gave our guests a little extra time to linger, connect, and make the most of the night. Sometimes the best conversations happen when there is no rush to leave. ⛈️

As our last Monthly Happy Hour before the summer break, this was a wonderful note to end on. Thank you to every member who joined us and made the evening what it was. We will not be hosting Happy Hour in July and August, but we look forward to seeing you again in September! 👋

Join Us for the MAYCHAM June Happy Hour - Our Final Mixer Before Summer!

Our June Monthly Happy Hour is officially open for registration. We continue our tradition of alternating venue locations between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon side each month. This June, we are leaving the Island side behind and moving across the harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui East at the New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel.

This will be our final Monthly Happy Hour before our annual July and August summer recess. Make sure to join us for a great evening of casual business networking and socializing before the holidays. Also, keep your schedules clear for our massive flagship celebration returning this August: Merdeka Nite 2026!

Last Saturday, our MAYCHAM Young Professional Members (YPMs) were joined by fellow chamber members and guests at the Garden Room, New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel for The Fundamentals of Stanford d.school's Design Thinking, facilitated by Nicholas Ooi, and what unfolded over four hours was genuinely something special.

The room was full of people with entrepreneurial spirit, creative hearts, and a shared hunger to think beyond the conventional, and together we worked through the full d.school process: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test, not just as a theory exercise, but applied to real challenges with real stakes.

Watching ideas evolve from street interviews and brainstorming to rough prototypes in a matter of hours was a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when you stop waiting for the perfect conditions and just start building. 🛠️

The energy in the room during the pitch and feedback loops? Electric. 🔥⚡

And beyond the learning, every ticket sold went directly to the MAYCHAM Students Trust Fund, meaning the day was an investment in more than just one room full of driven people. 🎓🙏

MAYCHAM is pleased to announce the Penang Discovery Trip 2026, scheduled from 18 to 21 June 2026.

This exclusive four-day programme offers members and guests a valuable opportunity to combine high-level business networking with cultural and culinary discovery in Penang, Malaysia’s UNESCO World Heritage City.

Highlights include visits to the Silicon Island Project, a special dialogue with the Chief Minister of Penang, exploration of Penang Hill, The Habitat and Andaman Island, a durian farm experience at Eagle Hill, and dinner at the historic Blue Mansion (Cheong Fatt Tze).
