Last Saturday, our MAYCHAM Young Professional Members (YPMs) were joined by fellow chamber members and guests at the Garden Room, New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel for The Fundamentals of Stanford d.school's Design Thinking, facilitated by Nicholas Ooi, and what unfolded over four hours was genuinely something special.
The room was full of people with entrepreneurial spirit, creative hearts, and a shared hunger to think beyond the conventional, and together we worked through the full d.school process: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test, not just as a theory exercise, but applied to real challenges with real stakes.
Watching ideas evolve from street interviews and brainstorming to rough prototypes in a matter of hours was a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when you stop waiting for the perfect conditions and just start building. ๐ ๏ธ
The energy in the room during the pitch and feedback loops? Electric. ๐ฅโก
And beyond the learning, every ticket sold went directly to the MAYCHAM Students Trust Fund, meaning the day was an investment in more than just one room full of driven people. ๐๐
Thank you to everyone who showed up, leaned in, and embraced the discomfort of thinking differently. See you at the next one. ๐
