For many years, since the release of A New Hope, costumers the world over have embraced the many and varied characters from the Star Wars saga. For the most part this has been a passtime for the adult generation, a way for them to express their love of the movies and their passion for costuming. The Galactic Academy changes all that, allowing the next generation of Star Wars fans to show the same

passion and enthusiasm. It is the first online costuming club to celebrate young Star Wars fans, run exclusively for them...finally, the Star Wars costumers of tomorrow have their own home! We will be featuring tutorials and articles from experts in costuming, as well as greetings from Star Wars celebrities across the world. We will also include games, activities and fun links as the site builds into a one-stop resource for all our cadets! The Academy encourages costumers from both the Empire and the Republic, so no matter what your age or affiliation you will find a home with us. If you have a Star Wars costume, Imperial or Republic, and you are under 18 years of age, the Galactic Academy is the place for you. All we require is a picture to post on the site, permission from the parents to post the picture, and information for the cadet's profile (see applications information below). How do I join? Enrolling into the Academy is simple, all it requires is a picture of the cadet in a Star Wars costume, permission to display the picture on the cadet member page and completion of a Cadet Application questionnaire (see below) to let each cadet express themselves and make each profile unique. Each cadet should supply a "helmet on" picture of their choosing which will be displayed on their own cadet profile. We'd also like them to have a "helmet off" picture so that they can show their friends they belong to this great club, but this is entirely optional and not a requirement for membership. Each cadet can also submit further pictures if they'd like them displayed on their cadet profile. If a cadet has more than one costume, simply send in pictures of each costume and they will all be displayed. Once a cadet is accepted into the Academy they will be assigned a unique four digit cadet number which will theirs permanently. Cadet Application:
* Full Name
* Date of Birth
* Parent/Guardian Name
* US State or Country
* Favorite weapon from the Star Wars universe
* Home Planet from the Star Wars universe
* Favorite Star Wars Character
* Favorite Star Wars Space Ship
* Favorite Star Wars Alien
* Favorite Star Wars Droid
* Cadet Special Ability

If possible please use the cadet's first name in the picture filename, this will aid us when processing the application.

Doing good and bringing smiles and presents? Oh yes! Troopers of the 501st Luxembourg Garrison and Jakku Base visited the Kannerklinik CHL, distributing gifts donated with the support of Tam Tam White and Friends. All the smiles and happiness created one huge wave of the Force spreading all over the galaxy. Well done!

A common goal of the 501st Legion Portuguese Garrison and Rebel Legion Portuguese Base! They both visited to the Santa Maria Hospital Pediatrics in Lisbon to provide the patients and medical teams with a different and cozy morning, full of smiles and happiness from the galaxy far far away.
