It has been five years since Dan passed away. Together, the Hummingfish team members have been following his path and carrying on his legacy. This year, we are ready to move forward to a new chapter. In April, the Team in Timor-Leste established their own company POCAJA.

Sharing the same mission of the Hummingfish, POCAJA continues to work closely with the coffee farmers in Laclubar to operate the Maubere Mountain Coffee that Dan started 10 years ago. The Hummingfish Foundation, as a partner and consultant, continuously supports the new company as much as they need.

I am sure Dan would be pleased that the coffee project has evolved from a charity project to an independent business in the good hands of the Timor team. We are confident that the new company will bring the organic coffee business to a next level, and we urge our dearest Hummingfish friends to continue their support to POCAJA and our coffee. Thank you very much.

Before New Year, the Hummingfish team visited Lalcubar to meet with the farmers and delivered the bonus.
The team also visited some of the farmers to understand their situation after the flooding in last April and had a long discussion with the village leaders on the new development of MMC in 2022.

It has been four years since Dan left us forever on the way to the people and place where he committed his compassion and life to. The Hummingfish has then lost our leader whom no one can ever replace. But we have never been left alone.

Dearest friends and colleagues, thank you all for walking with us and your utter support. Together we continue Dan’s legacy and have overcome so many difficulties.

We are now getting to a new chapter and there will be more challenges yet to come. But I know we can do it and Dan’s blessings are always be with us!!!
