背景
柬埔寨的旅遊業佔國家整體收入接近一半，英語能力逐漸在社會上有愈加重要的地位。同時柬埔寨有不少兒童受限於資源或其他原因，無法接受英語教育。即使有部份柬埔寨人能夠在高中學習英語，但農村或鄉郊居民則為高額學費所阻，難以繼續學習。有見及此，我們希望能為當地兒童建立良好的語言學習環境，同時提供基礎英語教學。不論將來他們想追求何種生活，我們希望這裡的學習能協助學生應對各自的未來。
我們將與當地機構Saving Children and Community Development Organization (SCCDO)合作，SCCDO一直在農村地區發展鄉郊社區學校和改善社區設施。社區學校的功用不單止於教育學生，更能成為社區內的平台，聚集區內的青少年。以此減低他們在街上留連的時間，或參與犯罪活動的機會。
我們基金主要為SCCDO聘任教師及提供教學資源，學校則負責在社區招募學生，並照顧學生的需要。透
過與當地機構合作，我們能得知學校的實際情況和社區的需要，並希望能進一步改善社區內的環境及設施。

Background:
Being heavily dependent on tourism, English has become one of the most important global languages for any kinds of advancement in Cambodia. Given to the fact that there is a sever lack of resources, most of the children in Cambodia do not have the opportunity to receive English Education. Even though some of the Cambodians are able to learn English during their high school studies, it is not the case for some the families from rural areas due to the highly charged school fee. Therefore, we would like to help create a better learning environment for children in the village by providing them a chance to receive fundamental English education in order to prepare them for future challenges, regardless of what kind of life they want to pursue. We will be working with an experienced local organization-Saving Children and Community Development Organization (SCCDO), which has been working with villages in rural areas in the aspects of school establishments and infrastructures. It is believed that the function of the school does not only provide students with a place to learn, but most importantly, a platform for them to gather together. Therefore, by forming a community, it is hoped that children would be less likely to end up wandering on streets and getting involved in crime activities. We will be providing SCCDO with teachers and resources, while the organization will be responsible for student enrollment and taking care of students’ need. By building up cooperation with SCCDO, we are hoping to gain a more realistic picture about the actual situation and the needs of this village in Cambodia.
