Commencing the 35th Leadership Training Course: A Vision for Sustainable Leadership
On 6 September 2026, the Leadership Training Association (LTA) officially launched the Opening Ceremony of LTC 2026. This year marks our 35th anniversary, beginning a three-month journey dedicated to the theme of Sustainable Development.
We were deeply honoured to welcome Miss WONG Shuk Han, Diane, JP, Under Secretary for Environment and Ecology, as our Officiating Guest. Her presence and insightful words of encouragement provided a powerful start for our participants as they step into their roles as future change-makers.
Our heartfelt gratitude is extended to our guest speakers for sharing their professional expertise:
🌱 Ms. Janet Cheung, Senior Sustainability Education Manager at Ocean Park Hong Kong
🌱 Ir Prof. HO Wing Ip, Veteran Electrical and Building Services Engineer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Evangel Hospital, Honourary Adviser and Former School Supervisor of the Evangel College and Chinese Literature Author
We would also like to express a special note of thanks to Dr. Rebecca LEE Lok-sze, MH, Founder of the Polar Museum Foundation and renowned polar explorer. As the first woman and the first person from Hong Kong to reach the "Three Extremes"—the North Pole, the South Pole, and Mount Everest—Dr. Lee’s lifelong dedication to environmental education offered our cohort an invaluable and deeply inspiring perspective.
The collective wisdom shared by our guests reminded us that leadership is not merely a position, but a responsibility to turn ideas into meaningful, collaborative action for the planet.
Our sincere thanks also go to Ir Dr LO Wai-kwok, GBS, MH, JP, as well as our Honorary Advisers, distinguished guests, alumni, and the members of our Executive and Organising Committees. It is the commitment of our volunteers that has allowed LTA to flourish for over three decades.
To our participants: we commend you for taking this step. We look forward to witnessing your growth, reflection, and transformation throughout LTC 2026.
