Rotary Club of Kowloon North was honoured to support District Governor Jimmy Lau during his official visit to the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R. on 2 October 2026. 🤝✨

On behalf of Rotary International District 3450, District Governor Jimmy Lau presented cheques totalling HK$650,000 in support of disaster relief efforts in Xīzàng. This included HK$350,000 raised by Rotary Clubs across the District, together with an additional HK$300,000 donated by the Wofoo Foundation, founded by PDG Joseph Lee, together with our club - Rotary Club of Kowloon North. 💰❤️

Mr Zhou He, Director-General of the Department of Social Development, received the cheques and expressed his appreciation for Rotary’s support for Xīzàng disaster relief. He also expressed the hope that communication and coordination among all parties would continue to strengthen. 👏👍🙌

Separately, another HK$350,000 raised by Rotary Clubs across the District will be transferred to Nepal and handed over to the local Rotary District to support disaster victims and displaced families. ❤️🛟

The Rotary Club of Kowloon North is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these humanitarian efforts and remains committed to Service Above Self. 💙💛

🌕 **Rotary Mid-Autumn Recycling, Fellowship & Community Service Day** 🌕 20 September 2026 (Sunday)

早前於中秋佳節期間，九龍北扶輪社到屯門探訪一班在膠樽回收廠辛勤工作的長者。佢哋默默為環保回收出一分力，值得我哋尊敬和支持。♻️❤️

The Rotary Club of Kowloon North was delighted to partner with **V Cycle** for our *Green Hearts, Caring Hands - Rotary Mid-Autumn Recycling, Fellowship & Community Service Day*, bringing together environmental education, community care and Rotary fellowship in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

A heartfelt thank you to all Rotarians, family members and friends who joined us and put the Rotary motto of **"Service Above Self"** into action.

✨ **Event Highlights**

♻️ **Recycling Facility Tour & Environmental Learning**
Participants toured V Cycle's plastic recycling facility and gained valuable insights into Hong Kong's circular economy, plastic recycling processes and sustainable development.

♻️ **Hands-on Recycling Experience**
Under the guidance of V Cycle's dedicated elderly recycling workers, participants learned practical plastic sorting and recycling techniques while listening to their inspiring stories and experiences.

🥮 **Mid-Autumn Mooncake Distribution**
With mooncakes generously sponsored by **Miramar Group**, we shared festive blessings and care with V Cycle's elderly recycling workers and elderly residents in the Tuen Mun community.

🌟 We were honoured to have **District Councillor Calvin Sze To 司徒駿軒** join us in support of this meaningful initiative. His presence and encouragement demonstrated a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, elderly care and community well-being, making the event even more impactful.

🌟 **An Inspiring Lunch & Learn** 🌟

The Rotary Club was honoured to welcome **Mr. Peter Yuen, CEO of Savills**, as our distinguished speaker for an insightful sharing on **“The Economy of Goodness: Why Altruism is the Best Strategy for Success.”**

Peter challenged us to rethink the traditional definition of success, demonstrating how kindness, generosity, integrity, and a genuine commitment to helping others can create sustainable value for individuals, businesses, and society. His inspiring message resonated deeply with Rotary’s motto of **“Service Above Self.”**

We were delighted to be joined by an esteemed gathering of Rotary leaders, community leaders, business executives, and international guests, including **PDG Joseph Lee**, **DS Josephine Leung**, **DT Margaret Mak**, **PP M.S. Karla**, **PP Gordon Chin**, **Rtn Papu Butani**, **Mr. Dorien Laermans, Deputy Consul General of Belgium**, and **Ms. Vivian She, Financial Director of Henderson China**, together with many Rotary friends from across different clubs.
