While Gold Tara will always be with us, her statues’ journey to being gold plated has reached its final conclusion, with an album of the entire charitable project’s process at Samtenling being presented to His Holiness the 12th Kenting Tai Situpa, who blessed the project in 2023.

Led by our project manager, Lama Tsondue, sponsors Rebecca and Lucy, and Lama Tenzin, our team were in Bhutan and planned for the moment to speak to His Holiness. He was absolutely delighted and smiling ear to ear as he went over the album with us, which we gifted to him as a memento to wrap up this project conclusively.

From Beginning to Completion.

In 2023, a deeply meaningful journey began to support a nunnery in the sacred heights of Pharping, Nepal.

The nunnery, then just a single completed hall, was a humble home to over thirty studying nuns. The project found its heart when twenty-one families joined as sponsors, each supporting the gold-plating of one of the twenty-one Taras.

We recently concluded this two-year labor of love with a magnificent puja attended by 120 monks and nuns—a finale that left our sponsor community overflowing with joy and a profound sense of fulfillment.

May all merits benefit all sentient beings 🙏🏻
