今次，東涌西公營房屋發展社區參與計劃聯同本地攝影及生活文化 YouTube 頻道「膠攝現場」，將透過【東涌留影：手機攝影班】，帶你走進東涌的街道、古蹟與社區角落，學習手機攝影技巧，並用手機鏡頭記錄屬於你的東涌故事。

What does Tung Chung look like in your eyes? Is it a bustling new town, or a community filled with historical stories? 🌇
This time, Tung Chung West Public Housing Community-making Project is collaborating with local photography and lifestyle YouTube Channel “Plastic Photo”, hosting [Tung Chung Snapshots: Mobile Phone Photography Classes] to bring you to various corners of Tung Chung and learn photography skills. Together, we record the unique Tung Chung Story via your mobile device lens.
🤳Note: Participant shall bring their own mobile device with camera function and sufficient battery level🔋.

🏡全新的公共房屋藝術文化共創計劃 ——「東涌・家書」希望將藝術創作從「文化保育及傳承」，昇華至「跨時代的人際連結」。此計劃的願景是讓未來搬入東涌新公屋（東涌第23區、第42區、第46區）的居民，在入伙之際就能感受到社區的溫度與期盼，建立起對新家園的歸屬感。

我們將於10至11月舉辦一連串的東涌西公營房屋發展社區參與精彩活動，讓大家一同參加💖。同時為一班尚未認識的鄰里，預備一份禮物。留意我們的專頁，了解更多及報名✏️

🏡A brand new public housing art and culture co-creation programme, Tung Chung · Home · Coming, hope to elevate art creation from ‘cultural heritage and conservation’ to ‘cross-generation connection’. Therefore, the vision of the programme is to prepare a gift for future residents of Tung Chung West public housing (at Tung Chung Area 23, Area 42 and Area 46), allowing them to feel the community’s warm welcome before moving in, as well as building their sense of belonging to the new home.

We are organising a series of Tung Chung West Public Housing Development Community-making events in October and November for the public to join💖, while also preparing a gift for neighbors they have yet to meet. Stay tuned for more details and registration method ✏️

🎁【東涌・家書】一份給未來鄰里的禮物

「現在的東涌人，正在為一班尚未認識的鄰里，預備一份禮物。」
全新的公共房屋藝術文化共創計劃——「東涌・家書」希望將藝術創作從「文化保育及傳承」，昇華至「跨時代的人際連結」。此計劃的願景是讓未來搬入東涌新公屋（TC23、TC42、TC46）的居民，在入伙之際就能感受到社區的溫度與期盼，建立起對新家園的歸屬感。❤️

為了凝聚這份心意，我們即將展開第一階段「在地採集」活動！我們誠邀各位東涌街坊、鄉村居民、少數族裔及學生一同參與三個系列的共創活動，共同發掘充滿人情味的城鄉故事：
🛠️ 共創工作坊：舉辦「百味・東涌」與「古跡・轉印」等工作坊，以不同媒介記錄東涌的節慶味道與歷史印記。
🥾 城鄉導賞之旅：帶領大家遊走東涌，親身感受當下社區及自然的不同歷史與溫度。
📸 東涌留影：透過攝影班，以手機用不同角度捕捉和記錄東涌各種美麗面貌。

🎁【Tung Chung · Home · Coming】A Gift for Future Neighbours
“Preparing a gift with current residents of Tung Chung for neighbors they have yet to meet.”

A brand new public housing art and culture co-creation programme, Tung Chung · Home · Coming, hope to elevate art creation from ‘cultural heritage and conservation’ to ‘cross-generation connection’. Therefore, the vision of the programme is to prepare a gift for future residents of Tung Chung West public housing (at Tung Chung Area 23, Area 42 and Area 46), allowing them to feel the community’s warm welcome before moving in, as well as building their sense of belonging to the new home. ❤️

To prepare this gift, we are launching the first phase of our “local collection” activities! We warmly invite Tung Chung residents—including villagers, ethnic minority communities, and students—to join a series of co-creation activities, and discover the heartwarming stories of this urban-rural community.
🛠️ Co-creation Workshop: The two workshops, “Heritage · Printmaking Workshop” and “Flavors of Tung Chung”, and going to record the history and taste of Tung Chung via various creative media.
🥾 Urban-Rural Guided Tour: Explore Tung Chung and experience the unique history and atmosphere of the community, and its natural surroundings
📸 Tung Chung Snapshots: Through photography classes, participants are going to capture the diversity and beauty of Tung Chung from unique angles with their own smartphone
🔜 Together, we will gather stories unique to Tung Chung West. Participants will not only take home their own creations but also help craft a precious gift for residents of the new public housing estates—a gift that may eventually be transformed into public art installations for the community. 🍴「每一道節慶食物，都藏着一段家的記憶。」
你覺得最能代表自己文化的節慶食物是什麼？甜的、鹹的，還是有一份獨特味道？東涌這個地方，凝聚了來自四面八方、擁有不同文化背景的居民。東涌西公營房屋發展社區參與活動計劃透過是次活動【百味・東涌】，用最直接的語言——「美食」，把大家連結一起。
💡注意：在出席工作坊前，請先在東涌買一份對你來說最重要、最不可或缺的節慶食物。工作坊當天，我們會一起「開箱」大家的「心水食物」，交換故事、認識不相同的節慶習俗。讓我們用味蕾做導航，拼湊出東涌最溫暖、最豐富的社區記憶。

🍽️"Every festive dish holds a memory of home."
What is the festive dish that most represent your culture? Is it sweet or savoury? Or it has a unique flavour? Tung Chung is a home to many residents with diverse cultural background. Through “Flavours of Tung Chung Celebrations”, The Tung Chung West Public Housing Engagement Project is connecting everyone using a universal language: food.
💡Note: Before attending the workshop, please purchase/prepare a festive food that is most significant or indispensable to you. On the day of the workshop, we will “unbox” these together, share stories and learn about different customs. Let our taste buds guide us as we piece together the warmest and richest community memories of Tung Chung.

Surrounding these seating areas, a carefully curated planting design reflects the righteous and bold spirit of martial arts, with striking upright plants symbolizing strength and resilience. Vibrant red and yellow flowering plants infuse the space with energy, while Ashoka Trees, known as the "tree of no worries," offer shade and a sense of calm, embodying the harmony between power and peace intrinsic to Kung Fu.

Adjacent to the kindergarten, interactive floor graphics invite young learners to activate the space through outdoor games and sports, transforming the area into a playful and educational extension of their classrooms. Here, movement becomes a medium for exploration and creativity, making physical activity an integral part of their early learning journey.

Throughout the playscape, positive well-being messages are thoughtfully embedded, inspiring residents to embrace daily physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.

With the introduction of diverse amenities, the playscape serves as a hub for holistic well-being. A 100-meter-long jogging track and a pacing track cater to fitness enthusiasts, while a Tai Chi area provides a serene space for mindfulness and gentle exercise.

Nearby, a rest deck and social seating create inviting spots for residents of all ages and caregivers to connect, relax, and recharge. Drawing inspiration from the Plum Blossom Poles (梅花樁), traditionally used in martial arts training, the social seating imbues the space with cultural depth and meaning.
An art sculpture depicts the opening stance of Siu Nim Tau (小念頭), the foundational Wing Chun form, representing discipline, focus, and personal growth. More than just a piece of art, it invites visitors to reflect on the values of perseverance and mastery championed by Kung Fu.
