The CIPHE HKB team had an amazing two days at HKIC Kowloon Bay Campus.

Our joint CPD seminar with CIBSE Hong Kong Region on “Design for Maintainability & Best Practices for Post-Construction Maintenance” successfully concluded over two inspiring evenings at HKPC Inno Theatre! 🎉

Huge thanks to all speakers and participants for sharing practical insights on plumbing and drainage design, operation, and maintenance, and for making the discussion so engaging and interactive. 🙌

On 10/4, HKIE BSD and CIPHE HKB were delighted to invite WSD to give a insightful presentation.

Stepping into the Digital Water Era! 💧
The Water Supplies Department is driving Hong Kong’s smart city development with digital water meters and the new Wireless Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) System!
Development Progress:
• WSD has established the Digital Water Office to lead digitalisation of our water supply services.
• From successful pilots (like in Tai O) to wider rollout in new buildings and estates, traditional manual meter reading is being replaced by smart technology.
• Over 70,000 smart water meters have already been planned or installed in new developments, with wireless AMI making it easier even for existing buildings.

• Real-time monitoring: Get accurate, frequent water usage data
• Early leak detection: Spot anomalies quickly to prevent waste and save money.
