What if the most important part of understanding a person is understanding the family they're part of?

When someone is struggling, it's natural to look for answers within the individual. Yet many of the challenges we encounter are shaped by the relationships, expectations, and emotional patterns that develop over generations.

A family systems perspective invites us to ask different questions. Not just "What's wrong?" but "What is happening in the system?"

For clinicians who are interested in thinking more deeply about families and the broader contexts in which people live, our upcoming Thinking BIG About Family Challenges conference explores how Bowen family systems theory can inform assessment, clinical practice, and long-term change.
