港灣婦女會於1981年在灣仔民政事務處之協助下組成，1983年3月11日舉行成立典禮，本會成立有五大使命
1.增進灣仔區婦女會界之聯繫。
2.提高婦女界在社會的地位。
3.爭取婦女的合理權益。
4. 發揚婦女界的賢淑品德。
5. 使廣大婦女瞭解其對社會和家庭的責任從而去改善個人、家庭在社會的生活質素。
