The latest Tiangong Class session gave Hong Kong students and tech enthusiasts something truly extraordinary to look up to. Seeing Hong Kong’s first astronaut and payload specialist—Dr. Lai Ka-ying, an HKU IT PhD graduate—operating cutting-edge equipment in zero gravity brings a whole new level of excitement to our local community. The "Tianyun Camera" payload operated by Hong Kong's first payload specialist also reflected the deep integration of data acquisition, processing, and transmission technologies in spaceflight. It's an inspiring reminder for Hong Kong youth that the tech skills built right here in Hong Kong have a place on the global—and galactic—stage! 🚀💻

We are pleased to announce that the BCS Hong Kong Section 2025-26 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was successfully held on July 23, 2026.

On Saturday morning, 30 May 2026, the British Computer Society (BCS) Hong Kong Section was honored to host an insightful technical seminar dedicated to the responsible and secure integration of AI across industries.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our esteemed speakers for sharing their invaluable expertise:

• Ir Dr. Andy Man Tit WONG, who provided an excellent breakdown of why robust governance is essential for AI adoption. He illuminated the path for organizations moving beyond basic risk management toward true operational resilience.
• Ir Simon CHAN, who shared highly practical, hands-on exercises demonstrating how to deploy AI safely and effectively within on-premises critical infrastructure environments.
