The VYG meets on Sundays at 2pm.

Our programme is designed to cultivate young men and women of character who will work to make a difference in their generation. Our mission is to start them on an exciting and successful life-long journey with God, and we do this in real and practical ways that are relevant to them. Although your children will have plenty of fun at our meetings, we’re here for much more than that. As adults, we re

cognise that many of the choices we made in our younger years played a big part in setting the course for the rest of our lives. We offer a familiar, friendly environment where young people can receive practical, moral and ethical guidance—guidance that will help them to make the right choices in life. We have what we call “Real Talk” meetings. This is where we discuss relevant topics such as career, family, relationships, faith and more. We also concentrate on developing their spiritual lives through practical biblical teaching and advice. Our meetings are packed with fun activities, ranging from sports competitions to drama and musical presentations. Each week, members work together in groups to prepare for upcoming events. In addition to our meetings, our youth leaders are always available for advice and guidance.

We must be careful not to be misled by the advice we choose to follow. The people we spend the most time with have a profound influence on our habits, attitudes, decisions, and ultimately, our future. So choose your friends wisely.

NOTE: One wrong piece of advice can derail everything. But the right wisdom? That can save your future. Stay close to God. Stay wise in your choices. And stay encouraged—because the right advice will always lead you to a better story.

‘Together as One’

🙇‍♀️ Heaven rejoices when one sinner repents, but people cannot believe if no one shares the good news. As disciples of Jesus, we become lights who bless others and align with God’s vision.

🙌🤝 Together, we rescue the lost and guide them to truth—this is true wisdom. Through prayer and the Holy Spirit, all things are possible. Yet as we save unbelievers from the fire, we must act with caution and avoid distraction. Let us stay grounded in God’s love and grow stronger in one faith for our salvation and that of others.

✨HIGHLIGHTS✨

💬 Advice from those around us can be dangerous, threatening our safety, emotional health, and spiritual well-being. While it’s good to have people and influences in our lives, we must carefully consider their consequences. Not everything—or everyone—we hold close is truly helpful.

🧠❤️ What matters most is having God in our lives. His presence protects our hearts from deceitful thoughts that can otherwise take control. The danger is not only external but also internal. Our minds may readily accept correction, but our hearts often resist it.

🕊️ When God dwells in our hearts, He helps us avoid trouble. His wisdom is better for our souls than any human advice, guiding us away from difficult situations and protecting us from stubbornness.

‘THE DANGER OF BAD ADVICE’

From the VYG hangout, we learned three powerful lessons:

1. BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR COMPANY. 👭
-The people around you shape your habits, attitudes, decisions, and destiny. So choose friends who pull you closer to God and push you toward His purpose.

2. DON’T TRUST YOUR HEART.
-Your emotions can mislead you. Feelings change, but truth remains. Don’t let impulse or personal judgment steer your life. Instead, anchor yourself in what’s greater than your feelings.

3. LEARN TO ACCEPT CORRECTION
-Correction isn’t rejection—it’s redirection. Receive it with love and humility, and let it transform you.

Your defense against bad advice?
-Seek counsel rooted in God’s Word. Let the Holy Spirit be your source of wisdom. When you listen to the right voices and accept loving correction, you won’t just avoid deception—you’ll walk confidently into your purpose.
