🚨 70 Dogs Need Our Help: Urgent Shelter Relocation

Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation is facing a critical crisis. Due to a land compliance order, 70 healthy, lovable rescue dogs must vacate part of their site by September 12, 2026 and risk losing their safe haven.

HandsOn Hong Kong is calling on our community to help protect these animals:

🐕 Adopt or Foster: Open your home to free up vital shelter space. (All dogs are fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.)

Every week, thousands of surplus bakery items go to waste while 1 in 5 in Hong Kong face food insecurity.

You can take a lead in changing this by becoming a Volunteer Leader at a new Feeding Hong Kong Community Hub for their Bread Run!

💡 What’s involved for a Hub Volunteer Leader?
💪🏻 Coordinating "Bread Runner" volunteers, managing surplus collections, ensuring fresh bread gets to those in need
🗓️ 1 evening shift per week (Tuesdays and/or Thursdays) for 3 months
👥 Open to anyone 18+

我哋正招募充滿熱誠嘅義工，同我哋嘅合作夥伴 Hong Kong 合作，參與星期四喺銅鑼灣舉行嘅「Trail Bread Run 麵包收集社區中心」活動！作為中心義工領袖，你將會係成個行動嘅核心——負責協調「Bread Run」、管理剩餘麵包收集，並確保新鮮麵包送到有需要的人手上。

💡 活動詳情：
🗓️ 服務期為 3 個月，每星期只需要值班 1 個晚班（星期二及/或星期四）
👥 負責帶領義工團隊及管理社區中心物資運作

Surplus soap transformed into life-saving hygiene kits! 🧼✨

A massive thank you to the fantastic team of 15 volunteers from Lane Crawford wford for joining hands with our charity partner, Soap Cycling 再皂福 !

Here is the incredible impact they made:

🧼9 kg of soap sorted and repacked into essential hygiene kits
💛1-year supply of handwashing soap provided to 18 underprivileged individuals in the Philippines
🛡️Disease prevention supported by protecting vulnerable communities from infectious illnesses
🤝Social inclusion fostered by working alongside a neurodivergent youth as an activity helper

Huge shoutout to the 15 incredible volunteers from Hang Lung Properties who joined our "Promote Mobility Independence through Wheelchair Repair" workshop in Tsuen Wan! 🔧♿

Under expert guidance from 1st Step Association 自強協會 - 肢體殘疾人士及照顧者資源中心, the volunteers learned hands-on maintenance skills—including replacing solid tires—and directly improved the safety, comfort, and mobility of 5 local wheelchair users.

Thank you to everyone involved for bringing so much enthusiasm, skill, and compassion to building a more accessible and inclusive community. ❤️

非常感謝來自恒隆地產嘅 15 位熱心義工！👏🏻🎉多謝佢哋早前嚟到荃灣，參加「輪椅維修推動無障礙出行」工作坊！
