Waste or Opportunity? 🌿
This morning's walk with my dogs today turned my day down another path. I spotted these cuttings lying on top of a green waste pile outside in our local community.
They were just discarded garden waste —trimmed back, uprooted, and left for the rubbish heap. 🗑️
Their eye-catching underside, purple leaves, has always attracted me, and I couldn't leave them there! I brought them home, planted some in soil, and placed the young shoots in water. With just a little nurture, light, and care, they’ll not only survive—they will thrive and multiply. 🐇🐇🐇
It struck me how this plant can mirror life. We all face moments where we feel cut down or tossed aside, wondering if our time or purpose has run its course. But life has a wonderful way of surprising us. Just when you think you’ve hit rock bottom, the right spark, project, or perspective can come along, recognise your worth, and breathe new life into your passion.
Never underestimate the power of a second chance, a fresh start, or a moment of reflection out in nature. We are all capable of growing new roots and reaching higher than before. And let's not forget that life reflects the lens you choose to look through. 🔎✨
